At HRCCC, we try to accommodate all on-road electric racing classes, the following outlines our normal classes. However, we will try to accommodate any other class, either by placing the car into a similar-speed race or provide a dedicated heat if there are enough of that class of car.
Touring Cars:
(ALL MOTOR CLASSES) As per BRCA rules, with the exception that any commercially available motor, battery, body shell and slick rubber tyres can be used. Motor classes will be as per the current BRCA series with the addition of a 21.5 Blinky class for Hypercar.
Frontie:
We will run similar rules to EWS, Rug Racers, and other local clubs.
Tyres: Ride FWD Belted Slicks (TR09) – Any Variant with 36086 included in the part number (i.e RI-36086BRCA26)
Motor – Standard Specification Hobbywing Justock G2.1 17.5, ( KV of 2254 to 2646 with a factory fitted rotor where the output shaft has “07-12.5” included in the identification as per the BRCA rules)
ESC – Hobbywing Justock G3S or G3S V2.
The G3 speed controller will be allowed in the Rookies class. It will also be allowed with the permission of the Race Director/Timekeeper (normally Roger Cosgrove) for very occasional racers where the expense of an upgrade is not warranted.
RPM Limit – 17,500, Maximum Gearing – 5.0 FDR
GT12:
As per BRCA rules, with the exception that any commercially available motor, battery, body shell or speed controller can be used. Motors – 13.5t in ’blinky’ mode, battery will be 1s. The use of any other motor or any use of turbo / boost on the esc will be classed as modified. There will be a limit of 13.5 blinky for all club indoor events.
1/12 Mini’s:
For 2026 we are addopting the Mini Master rules (Mini Master 2026 Rules) with the exception that for club racing we will allow any make of motor and brushed cars.
The two classes will be run is seperate heats and have seperate championships. Brushless cars may run in the 30.5 brushless heats dependent on numbers.
LMP 12 and WGT10:
As per BRCA rules, with the exception of any commercially available motor and battery can be used.
Formula 1:
As per BRCA rules 21.5t Motors, 2s Lipo batteries, ‘Blinky’ ESC
Rookie:
This class is aimed at the junior / beginner in RC racing. The car may be any 1/14, 1/12, 1/10 vehicle. Advisory only – motors should be of a high wind, e.g. 25.5 brushless, 27t brushed
Batteries:
HRCCC has a maximum charge and discharge rate of 20 Amps , all other LIPO rules are as per the BRCA guidance.
Addative:
If Addative is not spesified in spesific rules it is open.
PLEASE NOTE:
The club rules may be amended at any time by the committee subject to the rules as laid out under committee above. The constitution can only be changed at the AGM or any EGM.
