tires for buggies??

i need some help as i am a newcomer to buggy racing
what tires should i get+ what inserts??

i know its schumacher yellow minispikes for the dry an balistic buggy greens for damp track buddy i think as iv been asking myself not sure on the inserts as yet lol

You can't go far wrong with ny sort of minispike on grass.

Although if your doing regionals, you need to have schumacher or ballistic buggy rears.

Inserts don't make a lot of difference offroad.

I use schumacher hard inserts, but pretty much any foam will do.

Once you get established it helps to have a part worn and a new set of tyres that you can rotate between.



New tyres can give too much grip on a dry grass track and cause grip roll. -Some people will also trim the outer spikes off the front tyres for these conditions.

However if it's damp or the track starts to get dusty then newer tyres with full tread are a lot better.

I've got a box of new, nearly new and half worn buggy tires (inc. micro spikes, mini spikes and ballistic buggies) - as i'm not likely to be racing buggies for another season or so i'd be happy to sell them on (around £2 a pair for used / £5 for new). I'll bring along to the final indoor meeting tomorrow if anyone is interested.
