That is for boosting the voltage to your radio gear so that it's running at 6 volts, if you try running your esc and motor through it I doubt it would last very long, those wires are very small.
Yes I know...perhaps I should have made myself clearer. The issue with 1S LiPo is the voltage for running the electrics - this gizmo will solve it.
As for the voltage to the motor, that shouldn't be a problem provided the club allows lower turn motors.
For example:
A 5.5T brushless motor kicks out about 420W from a 7.2V pack - now if you recall your Physics lessons at school you'll know that power = voltage x current. For the purpose of this example let's ignore the variation of motor efficiency with voltage and assume the load on the motor is the same - therefore halving the voltage will also halve the power output.
That being the case...210W will be more than enough to run a V12 or 1/12th pan car.
Hence my post...

Unfortunately I don't think 2S will fit in a pan car...but that might be the way forward for Mardave...certainly would be quick. I remember running the original mini stock outdoors at Coventry GEC Sports Ground with 7.2V packs...great fun.

OK the 7.2 1800 lipo's we tried at xmas were cheap and very good but wern't hard cased, we should stay well clear of these, however I did hear I think Bob Burr say that someone has done a hard cased 7.4 lipo for a Carisma. If we can find the size of these they may fit a mardave and that could be a way forward.
