Re: Drivers name? 12 Oct 2013
It's Colin - I noticed the same typo this week - his car probably has his name stickers on the side if you've got a good enough shot of it.

Re: ESC broken?
HI Ian, Looking at the picture I'd try a repair by melting a blob of solder onto the end of chisel tip soldering iron. Then try to transfer the "blob" onto the broken contact on the circuit board with the minimum possible contact time between the iron and the board to minimise the chances ...

Re: ESC broken?
Hi Ian, That looks like a manufacturing fault - is there no chance of returning to the supplier for a replacement? Other than that a repair would probably be possible if you can get inside. Is the case screwed together, clipped together, or sonic welded / glued? My guess looking at the picture is it...

Re: Newbie asking about 2012 Membership
Hi Chris, Welcome to the Hinckley club. The membership form you are after is available from the "INFO" drop down tab at the top of the main webpage or here http://www.hinckleyrccc.co.uk/index.php?page=membership Currently it's the summer season and we are only racing off road so you'll be ...

Re: Championship rounds
Personally I think stick with one long championship. Most people will be missing a number of rounds over the season due to holidays / weddings / etc etc and there's also the likelihood of meetings being cancelled due to poor weather. One long season gives more flexibility. Then there's also the bene...

Re: HINCKLEY CLUBS BUGGY MEETING THIS SATURDAY - 28TH APRIL
Dean :hmm pardon me if I'm speaking out of place here but would you be prepared to take on a leadership role in this years buggy season? Your good ideas, passion for the club, eloquence on the forum, and good standing amongst members would seemingly make you an ideal choice to take control of things...

Re: HINCKLEY CLUBS BUGGY MEETING THIS SATURDAY - 28TH APRIL
Some feedback here on the time of the race decision forum post. I know Dean only suggested a 10.45am posting, but it seems many of us were expecting to see that post that never happened. I'm not local to Hinckley, it takes me about half an hour to drive to the club and I found a 10.45 decision to be...

No sign of a 10.45 racing weather update then. Do we assume racing is on?

Re: HINCKLEY CLUBS BUGGY MEETING THIS SATURDAY - 28TH APRIL
As Daz has said the steps should NOT be manhandled into position. It's just not going to be safe however many people are involved. The weight and height of the lift requires proper lifting equipment to be done safely. Also the unsupported platform needs supporting ASAP - can we get the legs put into...

Re: Gearing Help needed
Hi Dann, Simplest way forward is....
Count the number of teeth on
a) The Spur Gear
b) The Centre Pulley
c) The Front Pulley and the Rear Pulley ( hopefully they are the same )
Then ask James what it all means.
Works for me!!

Re: Quicksilver setup - TA05
If we're going to talk in funny accents then Au contraire mon ami Ming. Show me ze mathz that makez ze club car's FDR 5.5? The internal ratio of a TT-01 drivetrain is 2.6. With a 55T spur and a 25T pinion that makes an FDR of 5.72. To get the FDR to 5.5 it would need a 26T pinion fitted - and the cl...

Re: Quicksilver setup - TA05
Hi Dann, I believe you have a stock version 1 TA-05. To calculate the FDR on that chassis divide the spur gear teeth by the pinion teeth and then multiply by 2.25. Your 26T/70T combination gives an FDR of 6.06 - still too high, and possibly wont fit in the car anyway. If you could fit in a 28T pinio...
