Hi Dale,

I'm running 4WD and of course the Retro class.

Andy Lappin is also running 4WD and Retro.

Richard Dobson and Matt Hyde are running Retro.

I've had interest from about six guys from the Tamiya Club in running Retro.

Well thats 35 and I spoke to James Ambrose at the week end who said he was coming and trying to bring a couple with him.

I am going to be ordering the club Mardave for the retro class so people can come down and take part in this. I will also try my hardest to gain some local media coverage for this as I think it could bring down some old racers from years gone by.

Brilliant guys - see you all on the 2nd May for the first meeting!!

Dale,

You may be aware that local newspapers have had to rationalise their operations in an attempt to stay competitive in the changing media market. To put this into perspective, there are now only 4 press photographers covering the local newspapers across Warwickshire and Hinckley compared to a 12 few years ago. As such, the club stands a much better chance of getting coverage if it prepares its own press release and photos.

My wife, Lisa, is a professional photographer and use to be a photo journalist for the Coventry Telegraph. Lisa has offered to come along and take some photos this Saturday if you think that would help? She'd also be happy to look over a press release if someone is able to prepare one.

Cheers

James

What are we doing about pitting this year? It worked ok last time but if we're getting two or three times the numbers it could be awkward to move around.

Hi Ming,

Very kind offer for the pictures and would be happy to take you up on this.

I have worked in PR for a while so happy with press release etc - but thanks again.

See you Saturday.

Hi James,

This week will all be about getting it right for the summer etc. As such my BBQ will be starting the week after (I think), so we will be looking at the pitting challenge. In short we will be discussing this on saturday.
