well in 3 heats last week i had 2 steering block and 2 driveshafts wiped out plus i lost the drive shaft ends 3 times aswell and screws buddy so i dont think its worth using the xray anymore as i cant afford someone to wipe my car out that much buddy in all fairness its gonna cost me at least £35-£40 to fix the damage and i dont want take the mick and ask for that much help buddy but thanks ever so much
i think im gonna leave the xray in the sidelines for next year and upgrade to ally steering blocks and hubs before i race against a sertain person again

We have raced buggies indoors at a couple of clubs where they have ramps and obstacles placed around the track which is great fun, but not sure its a great idea here!

I'm quite happy to race like that at other clubs but wouldn't want the risk of damaging the carpet at our club (club proud and all that!!!) - plus it will ruin the racing for the other indoor classes if the carpet is ripped or damaged.

It only takes a slightly loose screw when landing to rip the carpet, or a bad landing on the shock tower to rip the carpet!

Tis good fun tho, :-)

Jon

Hi,

I think buggy indoors would not be a good idea with just a few weeks to go. I guess if all of a sudden we had 6-7 wanting to run then maybe.

Regards

Dale

I agree with Golf Ball Wacker Guy2 :D
Having an Indoor 'Off-Road' style Heat with Ramps/Obstacles could damage the Carpet, if a Buggy takes a Jump wrong & lands it upside down on the Carpet, there could be some rippage!
If there was enough intrest for a Buggy Heat Indoors(just on Flat Carpet), it would be good to see 8)
I do miss the good old Days of having atleast 2 Full Heats of Buggies Indoors, running on Foam Tyres! :D
I have heard that KAMTEC does Buggy Foams now

I'd be interested in running buggy.

Ripped carpet is pretty rare, in my experience.

We ran buggys for years indoors and never had a problem that I can remember.

Although I can remember a number of occasions where there have been problems with loose screws from touring car chassis / mardaves etc. catching the carpet and tearing it.

Buggies are only ever a problem if they are badly maintained and have sharp screws protruding. - But that is exactly the same with any other class.

most of my indoor racing was on carpet with my buggy aswell and we only ever had 1 lot of carpet in 7 years at bedworth and never had any problems at all. we used to run foam/micro spikes all sorts
