Re: im new to the club and thought id say hello
Dear Keith,
I want to reiterate the coments made above and say welcome to the club. We are as you can see a friendly and helpful environment and I think we have a good balance of beginners and higher standard members.
Forget spending on brushless systems for now. If you are just starting I would go for a 27t motor as this can be run with your speedo and we still have these running alongside brushless systems. Going brushless day one may be a little too much power and of course cash!
As for tyres come a see me as I can let you have a couple of sets to get you going. Power, I would go for a power supply and they are all fine, I personally run the Nosram unit and it retails at 74.99.
Eric sells the tyre addative and I would say that it would be worthwhile getting some, but can lend you some to get you going also.
The main thing is to come down, race and have some fun. Once you have had a few weeks you will know what things you will need and I and others will be more than happy to guide you in the right direction.
Regards
Dale

Re: im new to the club and thought id say hello
cheers for the welcome budy and thats exactly what i am thinking tbh its been a long time since i was one of the top racers at bedworth indoor club infact its been 14 years or so lol so il be sticking to a 27t for a bit but i will definetly be getting better stuff soon as i have got used to it again but as for brandon he has never used an rc car before so he will have to get some practice in as soon as his car is sorted as its missing a rear pulley and drive belt and i have just found out that schumacher dont make them anymore so i have to find one from somewhere or im gonna have to get him another car

it dont make a world of difference what radio gear you have its down to thy guy who is using the stick's
I have the same radio gear of a 1980's vintage handset futaba attack-r with a futaba s3001 in my mardave and seem's to work very well well for me anyway considering im a budget racer!

yeah man i know what you mean as long as it controls the car its ok but the ones i have are on the last legs infact i think there may be somthing going on with one of them as it has drained the batteries in 4 days without even being switch on lol but they were cheap batteries so i will try some better ones before i definetly start looking for another one
