Buggy Corner

Post by Wacker2 »

As the Hinckley Clubs summer 2009 offroad buggy seasion is approaching, i thought it would be a good time to offer the opertunity for somebody to purchase an associated RC10 B4 Team Spec 2 Wheel drive buggy that i have spare to sell.

These are still highly regarded cars and still currently the world championship winning 2WD buggy.

Its in very good condition due to only having a couple of months of usage. Everything is as per Team Spec, other than the rear wing mounts which I'd upgraded to the Fastrax Blue Alloy versions. The Stealth bodyshell is like brand new painted in bright orange with a black wing.

These are currently brand new in the shops at approx £120, but i'm only looking around £60 for the car... the reason why i'm selling it at such a good price is to encourage new drivers to experience the fun and excitement of offroad racing at the Hinckley Club.

I have a set of part worn schumacher mini spike tyres on wheels spare to put on the buggy, to get the new owner up and running.

Here are some pictures:

MOTOR ALSO FOR SALE

Reedy Platinum PT Modified 12 single brushed motor.

This has only ever been used for 1 race, so its like brand new still in its original packaging.

These tend to be the most popular wind motor for 2WD buggy's, and are equivelant to approx 7.5 turn brushless motor.

These were around £50 new, I'm looking for approx £15 so grab yourself a bargain.

Please see either Deab Gibbs or me (Jon Seals) at the club for any further information, or personal message either of us.

Thanks, Jon.

Well, nothings been set in stone yet, but its looking likely that the Clubs first Outdoor Off-Road Buggy Meeting will be on SATURDAY 2ND MAY.......I'm sure Dale Knight(Club Chairman)will confirm soon :D
Classes are looking as though it'll be the following :

2WD Electric Buggy Class
4WD Electric Buggy Class
'Retro' Electric Buggy Class(Any Buggies from the Early 1980's to the Mid 1990's)

Obviously, if other Racers turn up with different Scale Electric Buggies, Trucks etc, then there'll just have to be incorporated in one of the other Classes.........unless enough turn up to have there own Heat!

I've been in touch with Dale, regarding the current situation with the Summer Season. He said that it would be a good idea if we all got together at the Club this Saturday, before Racing actually starts & have a talk about it, to see what everyone wants.i.e.Extra Track Markings/Pegs, a 'Dunlop' Style Bridge for the Loop, Ramps, Table Top, Rumble Strips, Lawn Mower, Classes Raced etc.

Before we know it, the Outdoor Season will be upon us

Hi Guys,

Dean is correct for the date for the first meeting. As the West Mids Regional is planned for the 17th May I would like to start planning things regarding track improvements so they can be tested in time etc.

Can someone make a rumble strip? I need to bits of carpet 2.5 meters wide stuck together with pipes laid in between making a section of the track challenging?

I shall try and get to racing for 11.45am so we can have a chat about 12.15 when all set up and on charge etc.

Regards

Dale

From memory Brca minimum track width is 8 ft for regionals and 3m at nationals.

Any ramps / rumble stips etc. need to be at least 3m wide. Preferably 3.5m.
