Re: Supporting existing classes

Post by Dale »

Hi Guys,

To clarify and end this forum:

Standard Mardave class which will be silver can or 27t.

Modified Class - 10.5 t or Mardave brushless.

All cars should run to 1000g and have 4 cells (no lipos).

Hopefully this is the end of the matter and we can now go back to racing.

Regards

Dale

With regards to the 27 turn stock running in with the G2's, it would be ideal (although maybe unlikely) if people could turn the throttle settings down as they are quicker than a G2. I think the idea behind allowing the 27t was so that the maintainence and consistency of performance is better than a G2, and there isn't a need to buy a new one every couple of weeks.

Also, is the mardave diff allowed in the brushed class? With the use of the kimbrough spurs?

Hi Guys,

I believe our stance on this is that if it is available from Mardave then I think we are ok, but when we discussed this Mardave did not have one, so my suggestion would be not to run until we clarify this.

I cannot stress the importance of ensure we are running within the ethos of this controlled class. We have always said we want to support Mardave, so if it is not readily available from Mardave it is not allowed.

My wife read this and disagreed. She said I'm often full of air and it's got a very distinctive aroma!

Hi guy's. If i was to race my mardave again' as well of sticking to 1/12th pan. then would i have to stick in to it : Any make of brushless combo and also run on a 10.5 motor? to keep up with the mardave system.

ANy brushless system in a Mardave has to have forward and reverse (i.e. the Nosram system you have).

We will now allow a forwards only system, which should now result in a more level approach.

I think you might have a slight problem here dale? Im in the progress of buying a forward only esc' coz the reason is you do have more power to your drive then one with reverse. Have been told that' thats a fact! by many other drivers now if you have mardave drivers with the nosram combo ie: (evil esc dragon motor) and someone has a (matrix esc and the new nosram motor which is the one you have ' then they do not stand a chance. I know coz i have been through this my self.

Hi Warren,

On saturday it was agreed to run 10.5t or Mardave as they had the same power, however to run in the modified class we are asking for ALL speedo's to be forwards and reverse.

I know for a fact that forwards only speedo has more power, however, with a 10.5t this is agreed as being on par with the Mardave system.

My advice is to run the Evil you have!

Regards
