Hi all,
Last Saturday(18th May), we saw ROUND 3 of Hinckleys 2013 OffRoad Club Championships!
Same as the Previous week, we saw Dedicated HRCCC Members Mark Stevens & Keith Marson leading a Group of Racers, to help Prep the Grass & Unpack the Storage Container, ready for another great days Racing!
The Weather was on our side for the first time this Season, giving us a completely Dry days Racing with the odd sunny spell, allowing us to push our Buggies to the limit!
Thanks to Master Track Builders Steve Haskins, Andy Slingsby & Co, we had another Fantastic Layout! The Track itself had a Variation of Sweeping corners & Chicanes, as well as an assortment of Ramps, a Corner Table Top & Straight Table Top Jump, making it pretty Challenging to most, but with a decent sized Main Straight for some good Overtaking Manoeuvres!
Good work guys!!
A RACERS VIEW OF THE TRACK(FROM THE ROSTRUM)
The Racing could'nt have been any Closer allday & with your 2 Best Qualifying Rounds out of 5 to Count, it was extremely Competitive!
With many of the Front Runners making slight Errors at the Beginning of the Finals, the Win could have been anybodies, giving some Exciting Battles!
The Next Club Meeting will be on : SATURDAY 25TH MAY

Hi,
Last Saturday(1st June), we saw ROUND 5 of Hinckleys 2013 OffRoad Club Championships!
Main HRCCC OffRoad Organiser Mark Stevens was at the Site extremely early, to get the Grass cut & Venue Prepared for another Fantastic days Racing in some awesome Hot Sunny Weather again!
Dedicated Buggy Driver Steve Haskins then headed a small Group of Members/Racers, to Help get all the Hoses & other Equipment out of the Container, to Setup Race Control & Assemble another Great Track!
By this time, the Racers were Arriving in their Droves, Setting up quite a Large Pitting Area & creating a great Atmosphere for all the Drivers!
A VIEW OF THE PITTING AREA FROM THE ROSTRUM
The Turnout managed to Create 5 Full Heats(4x 2WD Buggy & 1x 4WD Buggy), making the Racing extremely Close & Competitive allday.
The Track itself, was very Fast & Flowing, incorporating a selection of High-Speed Chicanes(Steves Favourite! ), a Long Back-Straight for some Overtaking & a slightly Tricky Table-Top section. New for this week was the inclusion of 'Grippy Stuff' on both the Table Ramps & Jumps, giving everyone plenty of Traction/Grip!

Usual Format again.i.e 4 Qualifying Rounds with your Best 2 to Count, Followed by Finals for each, making another amazing days OffRoad Racing at HINCKLEY RADIO CONTROL CAR CLUB!

Re: HINCKLEY CLUBS 2013 BUGGY SEASON
Hi all,
Last Saturday(8th June), we saw ROUND 6 of Hinckleys 2013 OffRoad Club Championships!
Usual Dedicated HRCCC OffRoad Members took some of their Spare time up on the Friday, to get the Grass Cut, in Preparation for a smooth days Racing on the following day! Thanks again to Mark Stevens & Keith/Alan Marson for doing this, we all appreciate it!
With some good Weather again, this created another Great Turnout of Racers, giving 4 Full Heats of 2WD Buggies & a Mixture of 4WD Buggies with a Stadium Truck!
A Larger Group of Racers were keen to Help Assemble the Track this time, allowing us to Build the Track much Quicker & giving everyone a Longer Practice Session before the Meeting Started!
THE TRACK FROM A RACERS VIEW :
The Hinckley Club always likes to hear Racers ideas on possible Improvements, so this time round, the Majority Decided to go with a few New Options to the Configuration of their existing Man-Made Features.
Due to Demand, the usual Long Back Straight, small Kicker Jump & a Selection of Fast Sweeping corners were kept, but the Straight Table Top Ramp had been Extended to double its Length, making it very intresting! For the more Cautious Drivers, it could be taken as a small Jump onto the top lap after lap, but for others that wanted to risk it & gain some extra time, it could be completely cleared to Land on the Downslope with the right Throttle Control!
The usual Corner Table Top Ramp had been Rotated & Re-Configured into a small Banked Corner section towards the centre of the Track, which was Trickier than it looked, but a great place to make time if the right line was used!
Towards the Rear Lefthand side, one section of HRCCC's Unique 4-Piece Rumble Strip had been placed right on the 'Racing Line' of quite a Tight Chicane, giving Racers the choice of the Wider Safer Route on the Grass or straight through the Bumpy Rumble & gaining those extra few Tenths!
With some Intresting Qualifying Results, it made some great Racing for the Finals!

Hi,
Last Saturday(15th June), we saw ROUND 7 of Hinckleys 2013 Club Championships!
Yet again, a good Number of Racers turned up nice & early to Build another great Track & have a Fantastic Days Racing!
With a Heavy Shower just as the Track was Completed & the odd Light spot of rain during the course of the day, it mixed things up for Racers alittle, with some Drivers making those fine Tweaks to their Buggies for that extra edge!
LAST SATURDAYS LAYOUT :
Thanks to Mark Stevens, Keith Marson & the rest of the HRCCC Team for Holding another Brilliant Meeting!
SOME ACTION DURING THE FINALS!

Re: HINCKLEY CLUBS 2013 BUGGY SEASON
Hi,
Last Saturday(29th June), we saw ROUND 9 of Hinckleys 2013 OffRoad Club Championships!
With another Predicted good Weather Forecast, we saw a very High Turnout of Drivers again............some of which were New faces to the Club, but Well-known to the Regional Circuit!
Our Main OffRoad HRCCC Organiser Mark Stevens had been down there extra Early again, working hard to get the Grass cut ready for another great days Racing! Thanks Mark for being so Dedicted!
With a Decent Team of Enthusiastic Racers, headed by Local Buggy Legend Steve Haskins, a Large Track was Assembled very Quickly, incorporating a Selection of Sweeping corners(Steves Favourite! ), a Fast Chicane & a Diagonal Main Straight followed by a Tight Hairpin............the High-Grip there catching some Drivers out! It also included the usual Straight Table Top Ramp, Corner Table Top Ramp situated at an angle & a couple of small 'Kicker' Jumps!
A RACERS VIEW OF THE TRACK FROM THE ROSTRUM :
Due to each Heat being Full, the Racing was very Close & Competitive allday, with some Fantastic Overtaking being seen by many! With the Grip Levels of the Grass changing all the time & catching some Drivers out, it created some very intresting Results after the 4 Rounds of Qualifying!
A VIEW OF THE MAIN PITTING AREA :
For the Finals, I think we'd seen some of the Closest Racing ever, with everyone involved having a bid Smile on their Face at the end of the day!
THE 'B' FINAL GRID!
ONE OF MANY GREAT BATTLES SEEN DURING THE FINALS!

Re: HINCKLEY CLUBS 2013 BUGGY SEASON
Hi all!!
Last Saturday(6th July), we saw ROUND 10 of Hinckleys 2013 OffRoad Club Championships!
Due this Recent Spell of Fantastic Weather, we had an even better Turnout of Drivers than the previous week! With it being the same Weekend as Hinckleys Round of the Mid-West 2WD Regional Series, we also saw some Familiar faces on the Racing scene, getting some of that last-minute Testing in, ready for the Sunday!
Dedicated HRCCC Member Keith Marson & OffRoad Race Director Mark Stevens had taken yet again some of their spare time to get the Grass cut & Prepared on the Friday, ready for another Trouble-Free days Racing on the Saturday - thanks guys for doing an awesome job for everyone & making these Weekly Meetings possible!
The Track itself was Constructed mainly by Master Track Builders Steve Haskins & Andy Slingsby, with the aid of a small group of Racers pinning everything down for them. Thanks to all who helped out with this!
A VIEW OF THE TRACK
The Layout of the Track was alittle more Technical than the previous week, allowing time to be made in certain areas, if Racers hooked up a good Lap!
It was the usual Format of 4 Qualifying Rounds with your Best 2 to Count, but everyone appeared to be Closer than usual, making every Final super Close & Competitive! Even with the High Number of Racers Attending, the Grip of the Track didn't seem to drop off much at all...........even in the Areas that were slightly worn!
RACERS HARD AT WORK IN THE PITS!!

Re: HINCKLEY CLUBS 2013 BUGGY SEASON
Hi,
Last Saturday(13th July), we saw ROUND 11 of Hinckleys 2013 OffRoad Club Championships!
With the UK currently still in a Heatwave, this created virtually perfect Weather Conditions again for another Great days Racing on Hinckleys unique Grass Venue!
HRCCC Buggy Organisers Mark & Keith did another amazing job of Preparing the Grass & Setting up/running Race Control for the day, allowing a 'trouble-free' Meeting - Awesome work Guys!!
Usual Track Builders Steve & Slinga, with the help of a small selection of others, did a fine job of making quite a Tight Technical Circuit, including the usual Straight Table Top Ramp, Long Back Straight & Corner Table Top Ramp, as well as a Large Jump halfway down the Front 3/4 Straight!..........it caught quite a few Racers out during the course of the day!
THE TRACK DURING 'OPEN PRACTICE'
Even after the Club Meeting & 2WD Regional from the Previous Weekend, the Grip of the Grass was very good throughout all 4 Qualifying Rounds & quite a few Racers even managed to Achieve their Fastest Laps & Overall Times during the '2 Legged' Finals!
The Next Club Meeting is on : SATURDAY 20TH JULY

Re: HINCKLEY CLUBS 2013 BUGGY SEASON
Last Saturday(3rd August), we saw ROUND 14 of Hinckleys 2013 OffRoad Club Championships!
With a fairly Promising Weather Forecast for the day, this gave HRCCC another great Turnout of Racers, including a couple of Familier faces from the OffRoad National scene, in the form of F1 Top Drivers John Spencer & Tristram Neal! Good to see them joining us!
From Arrival, many of the keen Racers clubbed together with Main Track Builder Steve Haskins, to Assemble another awesome Track..........probably one of the Biggest Layouts for 2013!
It incorporated the usual decent sized Back Straight for some Overtaking, with a good selection of Sweeping corners, Hairpins & Chicanes, as well as a Mix of a Large Jump, Straight Table Top Ramp, Kicker Jump & Corner Table Top Ramp!
A VIEW OF THE TRACK FROM THE ROSTRUM!
With Local Club Racer Tom Lord Assisting our usual Hinckley Race Director Mark Stevens for this week, from Booking In to running each Heat, everything went super smooth during the Meeting!
It was the usual Format.i.e 4 Qualifying Rounds with 2 to Count, rather than FTD, which everyone was extremely happy about, as the Heavens Opened for around 15 minutes just after Heat 1 of Round 3, making the Driving Conditions very difficult..............even all the guys in the 4WD Heat were struggling abit! Was great to see a Full Heat of 4WD's this week though!
By the Finals, the Track was only slightly Damp, making the Racing very Close & Competitive, with everyone really enjoying the Day!
