What kinda FDR are you guys running with this motor? Just built up a car for the class to play around with and then mostlikely sell it.

Thanks

Hi Mikey, Found this FDR chart for the Tamiya TT-01 chassis on the internet...I think most of us TT-01 drivers are running the 55T spur with the 25T pinion giving an FDR of 5.72

I found that FDR to be a bit too high for the class and was able to go way lower. In my tt01 I was able to go with a 26 and even a 27 tooth pinions and you have to run lipo with them. (ordered the pinions from china btw.) Right now I am running 4.6 and it seems really good out front of my house in my TA05. Will have to give it a test this weekend.

What were you running for motor cooling on your TT-01 with the bigger pinions? I've got a stock TB-02 clip-on heatsink, no active cooling, I'm not sure my motor would take any higher as it is.

Have you got a link for ordering pinions from China? - I've been buying them at Modelsport but I'm always interested to know where others get their bargains.

Keep watch out on eBay. RC Sausage dog is on eBay and separate web site. Make sure that when u search on eBay to search worldwide. Stellamodels is good too.

I no longer run a tt01. I run a ta05. No cooling on it either. I will not be racing this weekend to do the low ratio but will be racing sunday at ardent. I have to go to some sheakspers (sp? Lol) play thingy with some friends from London. Not my forte but it's a matinae. ;-(

Ps: modelsport has excellent customer service.
