ROBIN HOOD RACEWAY YESTERDAY - 11TH APRIL

Post by Wacker1 »

Hi all,

As a Bunch of us HRCCC Guys wanted to get some extra Buggy Practice in, in Preparation for our own Summer Club Series & Regionals, we decided to Race at ROBIN HOOD RACEWAY yesterday.

The Meeting was Officially Round 1 of the Mid-East 2WD Regional Championships, so we were only able to Enter in the 'Open Class', but there were 3 full Heats of this Class, with some very Competitive Drivers in there!

The Weather was Sunny & the Track itself, was nice & dry, making the Yellow Mini-spike Tyre, the compound to use allday. This made the Track pretty consistant for everyone, til about Round 3 of Qualifying, as the Sand had lifted out of the Astro-Turf by then, making it slippery in places!
The Layout of the Track was quite tricky in places, with various camber change after Jumps, but we all started to use to it, therefore having a great days Racing!

It gave us abit more confidence for our Clubs first Buggy Meeting on SATURDAY 24TH APRIL
