Racing 23/07/11

Post by Hail Ming »

Hi Folks,

The forecast is looking good for racing this weekend; hopefully it will make up for last week's washout. Despite the rain last Saturday, the afternoon turned out to be quite nice and the track conditions looked good for racing.

As a point of clarification for future scheduled meetings - please expect there to a meeting regardless of the weather conditions in the morning or forecast. If a meeting is to be cancelled the decision will be called at 12:30 on the day by race control. Reasons for cancelling the meeting will be if less than 20 drivers turn up or the weather is too bad for racing i.e. continuous heavy rain throughout the race meeting.

Ben McQueen and I will be running race control this week and for the remainder of the outdoor season. Please aim to arrive around 12:00 so that numbers can be gauged and assistance given to laying the track. We'll aim to start racing at the usual time of 13:00. If we could have a few more people helping at the end of meeting to pack the track away - it would be greatly appreciated.

****IMPORTANT NOTICE****

There will be a short driving's briefing this week before racing to discuss (and put to the vote) extending the outdoor season unil the Saturday a week before the dBoots GP. Unless there is sufficient mass to support this motion, the season will not be extended. Please spread the word.

Cheers

James
