2011 race class's
has any one got any thorts of what class's we will be running when we go back indoors e.g 13.5t, 17.5t with no timing etc?
Re: 2011 race class's
I'm thinking three touring car classes this year...
Quicksilver
17.5 no timing
13.5 with timing
that's my opinion and I would run 13.5

Hi Martyn,
That looks good to me - I'll pass on your views to the Committee and see what they think. We need to get this set in good time for September to allow racers to make their preparations. In the meantime hopefully we'll get some more interest in this post from other members.
Catch you later...

Re: 2011 race class's
I agree with Martyn on classes
I ran 13.5 indoors at Ardent in the week, was crazy fast! Thats with timing ESC's.
17.5 non timing will also be a great class
Quicksilver - I hope we get more indoors than we had outdoors

Nice one Jamie (and James G) - they're good fun. I've got the XEvo conversion on mine; handles well and is surprisingly quick with just a 27T motor. I reckon a heat of these would be great to watch.

Hi All,
I think the suggested classes seem correct to me.
13.5t is more than sufficent to you speed freaks out there, but for me is too quick!
Quicksilver has been brilliant for new starters and those who have dropped in to build strong race craft and I can think of a few drivers who have really benefitted from this.
I also see 17.5t as the up and coming class for those who need someone in-between Mod and quicksilver and this is what I will be making my come back into this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coming Back?? Did it ever leave??
As it stands, I plan to race 13.5t + timing. I also have the equipment to do 10.5t with or without timing though.
I'm not sure when I will be making my return to indoor racing as the last outdoor national is not till the 17th / 18th.
If anyone else wants to confirm what they are racing that would be good.
Thanks
Daz

Re: 2011 race class's
Hi All,
A committee meeting is planned for the 7th September and we are discussing the start date for the first meeting indoors. Many of us including Roger and myself will still be at the National in Mendip on the 17th so we are looking at either starting as planned or maybe pushing back the start of the indoor season to the week after Mendip which would be the Saturday 24th September.
We will of course keep you updated on this.
As for classes, 13.5t timing (was 10.5t last year but 13.5t will not make a massive difference to this class), 17.5t no timing (new class and a brilliant gap in between 13.5t mod and quicksilver). And lastly the ever popular Quicksilver class.
In addition theit will of course be mardave in four cell silver can and 1 cell lipo in 13.5t as before.
I would love to see a return of 1/12th scale and would consider 8 mins races if we could (maybe dropping one final). If you know of people who would make up a heat for this indoors (min 5) then please let me know.
Regards Dale

Thanks Richard
Roger and Dale will be involved with the Nationals for the next few weeks, so Ben McQueen will be looking after the meeting this Saturday (10th) and Ian Smith has kindly offered to run race control the following week (17th).
Thanks
James
