Re: what ESC??
Andy, I'm pretty happy running the stock Tamiya TEU101BK ESC that until recently was included with most Tamiya kits. Seems to do the job with no hassle. But I'd guess any ESC will do - just make sure it's got forward and reverse. Officially reverse is required to meet the class rules, but more importantly being able to reverse out of an incident saves the embarrassment of having to shout at a marshal who is innocently unaware of the situation and leaves you nose to the wall for half a lap while expecting you to be able to reverse out of trouble. Personally I'd like to leave any car without reverse parked nose to the wall for the rest of the race - serve 'em right!

Re: what ESC??
Hi Andy,
I'd avoid Mtronics stuff - it use to be quite good a decade or so ago, but now many find the quality isn't up to scratch. However I agree with Richard that you can't go far wrong with a Tamiya TEU101 - you can normally get them new off Ebay for about £17 - £20 here in the UK. Here's an example...

Alternatively, I've been pleased with this little unit...

Hope this helps...

No worries Andy - always happy to help. Looking forward to seeing the car - the spec looks more than enough for racing.
