2WD MID-WEST REGIONAL THIS SUNDAY - RD2
Re: 2WD MID-WEST REGIONAL THIS SUNDAY - RD2
Hi All,
As you all know it is now the turn of the buggy's at Hinckley!
This week will be a non-point scoring week and will give us a chance to try out the new ramps purchased this year!!!
Please aimt to get down for 11.20am earliest and help with the track build etc.
Hot food will be available on the day and Eric is bringing the shop down.
I look foward to another successful summer of buggies at Hinckley and lets build on the progress made in 2009!
Regards Dale Knight - Chairman

Re: 2WD MID-WEST REGIONAL THIS SUNDAY - RD2
Hi all,
A bunch of us from HRCCC took part in the 2WD Mid-West Regional at Oswestry yesterday.
Unfortunately, the Weather conditions were similar to the previous Round in Stoke.......Rain over night & Showers during the course of the day!
This made it very awkward for all of us to get consistant Grip/Results through the 8 Heats of all 4 of the Qualifying Rounds........specially when your best 2 Rounds were counted!
It was just a case of chopping & changing between the Schumacher Yellow compound tyres during the Dry periods & the Ballistic Green compound through the Wet ones!
There was a fantastic turnout of Racers, giving 8 FULL Heats of very Competitve Drivers, making the Racing Challenging during the Meeting.
The Track itself, featured a carpet covered Banked corner at the end of the Low-grip Astro-Turf main straight, followed by a very tight technical bumpy Grass section. This then led onto a chicane on a Table top, followed by a smoother low-grip Grass section, a couple of tight Astro-turf corners & a Hump-back Jump to complete the Lap!
By the time the Finals came along, the Weather had brightened up, giving all Racers a Dry Track to get the hammer down & have some good close Competitive Racing!
Here are some Photos from yesterdays 2WD Regional in Oswestry :
(if you look closely enough, you can see Martyns Yellow Ultima RB5, Daz's Red Cougar SV & Jb's Orange RC10 B4, battling it out in the Final! )
