Re: ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL BUGGY MEETING AT HINCKLEY
Hi all,
Last Saturday(20th June) saw ROUND 7 of Hinckleys Summer Off-Road Club Championships.
The Weather was kind to us all again, giving another great turnout of Racers!.....4 FULL Heats!
Everyone did another good job of helping with the Track Building, & with Martyns help of Layouts, we had a fantastic Track, yet again!
I think ALL Drivers enjoyed the Track........I particularly liked the 2 Jumps before the Rumble Strip, as I found that this could be taken as one, with abit of speed, knocking a couple of 10ths off per Lap.
It was really good to see a FULL Heat in the 'Retro' Class as well, with a wide variation of 'Old School' Tamiyas from the 1980's, specially the 'Wild Willy' Jeep. I'm looking forward to giving my Tamiya Boomerang a go in this Class very soon!
Another fine job again, from Scott & Dale(+ Family), for running the Meeting & the Food & Drinks.
Here are some Photos from last Saturdays Club Meeting(20th June) :
Theres also some Video Links below(thanks to Hail Ming ), from Last Saturday :

I've been having a look at HailMings videos of the last Retro Racers - you MUST watch the complete Retro final. The racing looks great and it's very funny, especially the commentary from Dale. Find it here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbmppFcOBSs
Shame my Brat only managed half a lap in the spotlight before it's 3 wheeled death dive over the barriers!!

Well I always wanted to be famous and now....................I am !!! lol
The Retro racers are quickly establishing themselves at HRCCC and long may it continue! Great turn out last week with a wide variety of cars.
Sufficient to say its worth qualifying in the A just to marshall them and see wild willy ripping it up!
See you all saturday.
Regards Dale

Re: ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL BUGGY MEETING AT HINCKLEY
Hi all,
After Round 8 being 'Rained off' last Saturday(27th June), it was really good to see some fantastic Weather for ROUND 9 of Hinckley Clubs Summer Championships Today(Saturday 4th July).
We saw yet another impressive turnout of Racers, giving a FULL Heat for the 'Retro' Class & 4 FULL Heats for the 'Competition' Buggy Class
There was plenty of help from the Members/Racers, on the intial Set-up of the Track & its Features, with some 'Top notch' work from Master Track Builder Martyn(& his Co-pilot, the Sling Master!) , producing another great Circuit(again ), which incorporated some very Technical sections, making it very Challenging!.....I'd probably say it was the Toughest Track yet, but the best!
The Meeting was run as smooth as usual, thanks to Scott & the Food from the BBQ was spot on, thanks to Dale.........you just need to buy somemore of that 'Logburning Sauce'
I think that ALL Finals ended up being really intresting to Watch, especially the 2WD, as the Leading position was changing all the time!.......did anyone Video it?
