I'm sure that it seems odd to everyone, that Coventry is holding a Club Meeting this Sunday, considering the Midland Astro-Turf Masters is a joint Championship between Kidderminster & them.............The reason being is that this Round(which appears to be the LAST Round) was originally scheduled back on Sunday 22nd February, but was unfortunately 'Rained off'.
This Sunday(12th April)was the only Sunday available to hold the Meeting, so it had to clash with Coventry.

From what I've heard, the majority of Racers are missing Coventry this Weekend, to Race at Kidderminster instead, so it'll be quite busy there :D
It looks like Justin, James, Paul Crocker, Jb, Paul Kennerson & me are going, with the possibility of a few others joining us as well, lets just hope the Weather ends up being ok!
If anyone wants to meet us all on Sunday, so they can follow us there, we can meet in the Hinckley Knight Pub Car Park at 7am again 8)

Yes, its for 2WD & 4WD Buggies :D

TYRE-WISE, I would say that Ballistic Buggy Green Mini-Spikes Allround would be a good choice, specially for the 1st/2nd Round, as it can be abit Damp in the Morning. Schumacher Yellow Mini-Spikes Allround, also work well there(if its bone Dry) & Ballistic Buggy Pinks are good if its Wet :D

Looking at the pictures the track appears to be half carpet / half tarmac.

Sorex 24s could be the tyre to use

Does not look promising for spike tyre life.

David,

I can assure you that the Track is Astro-Turf & NOT Carpet

There generally seems to be that much Grip there, that you can get away with using Part Worn Mini-Spike Tyres

Looks like no kiddy for me.

Went practicing at Coventry today.

Car is pants on astro.

Shock settings were well out and weight a bit too far forward, making handling interesting
.

Consequently the car now has slightly less rear wishbone than neccesary. as well as sporting rather less undertray than usual.

Having said that felt awesome on the grass when checking the trim / steering

Hi all,

Justin, James, Kenney, Jb, Paul & me had a fantastic Days Racing at Kidderminster yesterday, there was a good turnout of Racers(including some regular 'A' final Drivers), as well as the Weather being Hot & Sunny allday.
The Track Layout was quite Technical but fast, with some very Tricky sections, mainly the Dirt part leaving the Tarmac Section & the Dipped Section coming back towards the Table Top(as a Bump there caused many Cars to roll on their Roofs!)
The Organisers had a Camera Guy taking some Photos during the Day, which he managed to get some pretty good Pics of our Cars Racing round the Track :
