Like you've already said, I think that having a STANDARD & MODIFIED Mardave Class will keep everyone happy, as Beginners, Young Drivers & 'Die Hard' Stock Mardave Racers will be able to Race on a smaller budget, by carrying on with the current Standard 'Brushed' G2 Class..............if any then decide that they want to progress on in the world of RC Racing, but DONT want to get into the ultra-expensive world of Touring Car or 12th Pan Car Racing, they have the choice to buy a few extras to 'hop-up' their Mardave, like the Brushless Combo System & a Carbon Fibre Chassis & go into the Modified Class, which bridges the gap nicely!
I suggested to allow a 27T Rebuildable Stock Motor in the Modified Class, with Mardaves new Brushless Combo, because they seem to be similar on Speed, as well as it gives Racers a chance to participate in the 'hopped-up' Class, even if there budget does'nt allow them to buy the Brushless System.
Once Hinckley Club & its Members have decided on a clear set of Mardave Rules, they can be carried on to the 2009 Mardave GP Event, even if it means that there'll be a STANDARD(Brushed)Class & a MODIFIED(Brushless/Brushed)Class..........but to be honest, I really think that the majority of keen Mardave Racers will be running the Brushless System by then, as it gives better Performance, less Maintainance & there'll be cheaper in the long run!
