Hi Nick,

At this moment in time, there is approx a 50 yrd walk from car to field where pitting will take place.

We have looked at a slightly different part of the field where cars may be able to be brought onto the field, but at this time we have not, and cannot look at this as an option (something to consider for next year maybe).

The club has a 27 ft gazebo which will be used for race control and Scott and I (we are running the event). If there is room in here you are more than welcome, if not, lots of people have tents and alike and I am sure someone will have space to let you in.

Logistically it was always better to pti outside your car boot as I am a great believer in reducing walking distance (with three in the family racing!!) but I do not see us having any other option for the 10th May.

During the meeting I propose before we start heat 1, we chat about the future of buggy racing and how best to deal with issues such as this.

Kind Regards

Dale

p.s. look out for posting on the news section about 10th May !!

Dale,

As I said earlier I would like to race buggies on the 10th, but unless the club sorts out whatever the problem is with my BRCA membership I won't be able to.

I haven’t had any response form scot when I pm him, so can only assume that he is not receiving them. If you could please let him know that there is a problem and get him to contact me it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom.

Nice one.....Well spotted.

Well, at least I have an extra week to spend some money.!

Although this may now be a problem for me....Its BTCC Touring at West London and may go practicing on the Saturday.

Not sure of my plans yet though, so if you are looking to get an idea of numbers, put me down as a maybe.!

Thanks

After dropping a load of cash into touring cars I will be doing buggies as cheap as possible, so the XX will be coming out of retirement, I think it last hit the track around 99/00. I might have to take up your offer of some spares dale as no doubt it will have become a bit brittle after 8 years on the shelf. I'm currently on ebay bidding on 2nd hand speedos and motors so hopefully I'll be there on the 17th.

I have a XXX BK2 that i am getting rid of for a friend if anyone is interested.
It's only been used once and has 2 body shells and wings, also a full set of springs still in the packets.

I Also have the following:

a few off road tyres for the XXX again nearly new.

a novak cyclone C2 speed control and a keyence speed control.

a couple of 12 and 13 turn modified and 19 turn stock motors to go also.

If anyone is interested let me know and I can give more detail.

I am trying very hard not to be interested in running offroad on the 17th, as it would mean I would have to purchase 6 cell packs / tyres / motors etc. for 2 drivers, and I'm trying to reduce my expenditure at the moment.

A certain 8 year old has other ideas though.

Worryingly, instead of telling him to shut up, I'm wondering about the feasibility of running on 4 cells with an 8T.

Hi David,

Would be brill to get you two there.....I could lend you a couple of sets of cells to get you started - anyone else up for a donation??

There are loads of cells on ebay, also I think LIPO will be fine, so just get one set of 5000's and you will be fine!!

I could give you a couple of sets, but I would need a long weekend in theat car of yours!! lol.

Dale,

I understand you. Thomas and a few others are visiting Kidderminster for a regional this weekend?

Well, I have managed to secure the loan of a B4 for the weekend and as there is no touring fun to be had, figured I may play at off road.!

Can you tell meif they allow generators at Kidderminster as I really cant afford to buy a new leisure battery.....and my old one is not too great.!

Also, will you be allowing generators at Hinckley on the 17th?

Thanks
Daz
