The spektrum handset at wheelspin is a 5 channel unit so it will work and be legal for surface use however the sticks will move in all directions unlike the two channel units which only move on a single axis.

For air use the throttle stick does not have a return spring so mode one and two relates to which stick the throttle is assigned to. A mode one handset has the throttle is on the Y axis of the right hand stick with yaw on the X, a mode two handset these functions are on the left stick.

This radio is significantly cheaper than other 2.4 radios so if you did want to try and modify it then you could make a good saving, a mode one handset would be the one use.

Hi Guys,

I have some concerns over the use of non-tamiya motors in this class. As such anyone booking in for this class from Saturday onwards will need to be running one or they will not take part in the meeting.

It is crucial that we maintain this class in the spirrit of what it was set up for and any non-conformity will not be catered for.

If anyone does not have an appropriate motor can I suggest you speak to the guys to see if one is available for your use.

Thanks

Dale

I totally agree Dale and add my concern regarding a minority of racers trying to spoil the class for everyone else. If anyone needs a motor, please see me in the first instance.

Thanks

James
