Post by Wacker1 »

Hi everyone,

With the 'GRASS MASTERS' Bank Holiday Event over the past Weekend, Concluding Hinckley Clubs 2015 Outdoor Offroad Season & the Indoor Onroad Winter Season not Starting til Saturday 12th September, I just thought I'd let everyone know that there's a Special Buggy Event on this Sunday, if anyone is Interested in Racing.

HORIZON HOBBY UK is pleased to announce news of their inaugural “Air Meet”
This exciting new modelling extravaganza will feature the very best in radio controlled modelling and a whole lot more to keep spectators and visitors entertained over the three day event.

Taking place at Leamington Hobby Center’s superb facility at Banbury Road, Oxhill, Warwickshire, CV35 ORL on the 4th ,5th,6th of September

In addition to the spectacular model aircraft and helicopter displays other fantastic flying attractions include FPV racing and Drone flying demonstrations.
Award winning Horizon team pilots will head up the flying displays along with other top pilots from the display circuit.
Aerobatics, formations, fighter displays and glider towing are just a few of the flying attractions.

On the ground there will be power boats on the giant boating lake along with displays by the most graceful of yachts and other scale boats.
On the Auto side Horizon car team members will be heading up the car racing activities and demonstrating the latest radio controlled cars along with 1/8th 1/10th scale car racing on the international standard racing circuit.

Free to enter prize draw will take place on Saturday and Sunday and there will also be the chance to take part in the “Horizon Race for Young Lives” event in support of the Variety Club will take place on Friday.

TV personality Mike Brewer of “Wheeler Dealers” fame will be commentating and acting as master of ceremonies through out!

Apparently, quite a few 1/10th Scale Electric Buggy Drivers have already Pre-Booked to Race on Sunday 6th September, for this great one-off Event, so it would be great to see some Hinckley Club Racers in Attendance!

The Track itself is also very similar to Hinckleys.i.e a Large Grass Layout with Wooden Features, so ideal for our Club Regulars!
