Hi,

Last Weekends 'D-Boots GP' 2 Day Event ended up being a Fantastic Success!! :D

From Arrival on the Sunday, we could all see that it was going to be an awesome Bank Holiday Race Meeting, with a decent Turnout of Drivers & the Weather Forecast on our side for both days!

The HRCCC Team had spent most of the Saturday Afternoon Preparing the Event, with Cutting the Grass & Building a massive Track that was very Tight & Technical, but still included a really Long Back Straight for Racers to Test the Horsepower of their Cars!

The Control D-Boots 'MultiByte' Rear Tyre appeared to give amazing Rear Traction/Grip............almost to the point of too much, on the Fresh Grass during the Practice Session, but worked great from Round 1 of Qualifying onwards!
During all 4 Rounds, the Racing was extremely Competitive between all the Drivers, with many only separated by a second or two!

The Finals Consisted of 3 Legs for all, with your Best 2 to Count, giving everyone the feel of what an 'A' Final Regional/National Event is like. This made many of the Battles between Racers very intresting & much Closer..............it also allowed the unlucky Drivers that had been involved in a Racing Incident or Crashed under Pressure(possibly due to a lot of Watchers from the Sausage & Beer Festival! ), to Re-group & have another shot at it!

It was all the same Format for Monday, but the Track had been Re-Built into another Large Track, but this one was alotmore Open & Fast Flowing, with the Main Straight being directly infront of the Rostrum & just a small Technical Section before the Corner Table Top Ramp. The Grass held up very well allday & the MultiByte Tyres still gave everyones Buggy plenty of Grip!

Mondays Finals appeared to be even Closer in both 2WD & 4WD, with many Drivers Leapfrogging to the Podium, after a Fantastic 3rd Leg. The Driving Standard was also great to see from everyone, with many showing a lot of Respect for each other, giving a really enjoyable Weekends Racing!

Thanks must go out to Mark Stevens, Keith Marson, Steve Haskins & the rest of the HRCCC OffRoad Team, for Organising such a great Event & running Race Control so smoothly throughout the Bank Holiday Weekend, as well as the Lady with the Rerfreshments Vehicle, Catering for everyone allday!

Also, thanks to Jason Ametrine for getting his Gopro Video Camera going & managing to Capture Leg1 from each of the Finals on Monday.
