BRCA Clubmans (17.5T & 13.5T) Nationals

Post by Ian_Smith »

All,

The new BRCA Clubmans series is now open for booking in. The classes are 17.5 & 13.5, with open speedo's. Motor's and LiPo's need to be on the BRCA Homologation Lists (links below), tyres are the BRCA sanctioned Sorex 32's. These are one day events, and the booking fee is £12 per round, and booking in is through the Cental Booking site (http://www.centralbooking.org)

Calendar and Venues
Rd1 – 8th May 2011 Bedworth
Rd2 – 19th June 2011 Eastbourne
Rd3 – 10th July 2011 Adur
Rd4 – 14th August 2011 Stafford
Rd5 – 11th September 2011 Broxtowe

I intend to do all 3 midland venues in the 17.5 class (am only booked on the Bedworth round at the minute though).

Thought that's what 17.5 was for at our club? Start new topic if yah want to talk about it. Don't want to hijack topic.

Guys (and gals),

The opening round of the Clubmans series is at Bedworth on the 8th May (Sunday), 3 weeks away. The current level of racers booked in on the Central Booking website is at best disappointing (6 x 17.5 & 14 x 13.5).

If you intend racing in this series, show your support and get yourselves booked in. At the moment, with the current level of interest, I would noy be surprised if the BRCA decide to pull the plug.

Remember, this year there is no restriction on speedos, so timing advance can be used in both 17.5 and 13.5 classes, although I hope that those running 17.5 will have a gentlemens agreement not to run any timing advance on the speedo, and treat the class in the manner it is meant - a "Stock" class.
