New Venue

Post by Slinga »

The new venue looks great :n1

Easy enough to find

But has any body done a site plan? ie where to park and where we access the hall?

There isn't an obvious site plan for it. If there is one, I'd like to put it on the info page. I literally only know the address...

You can see the car parks on Google maps but I don't know where the hall is.

Entry to the hall is from the top right of the car park

This is a google map of Wm Bradford College. You will see the main car park to the left of the picture, the sports hall is situated at the top right of the car park, so easy access for all

Below is a Google Maps image of the site - I have indicated the car park area, the Sports Hall and the entrance. There are actually 2 entrances to the Sports Hall, a direct one from the covered walkway corridor (where the arrow is), and another one at the rear of the hall which is reached by walking along the corridor at the left end of the hall and along the back. We will have the direct route open until the carpets are down then any late comers will need to make use of the longer route.

Well, we managed to hold our first meeting at William Bradford last Saturday, thanks to all who attended and those who assisted in setting up and packing away.

Overall, the meeting went very well, the new GT12 class in particular providing some great racing.

We will try and get the meetings started at 13:00 if at all possible, but this will depend on assistance from all club members to assist with the track set up

We will, this week, :D also try out racing from the balcony overlooking the hall - ( but we will also leave in place the normal drivers rostrum) I think that the balcony will prove to be an ideal plaace to race from - so lets see how it goes

There will also be a 'normal' tuck shop this Saturday
