Re: QuickSilver Top Mince Pie 2009 Piccys
Is it too soon to be starting to salivate at the thought of mince pies again? They've been spotted back in the shops now. Is there a "too soon" to start eating these Christmas sweet pastry treats?? I'm off to re-read what the winning mince pie was in eager anticipation .... now where's my ...

Re: Quick Silver - Tamiya & RTR Touring Car Thread
Hi Nick, The ratio that seems optimum for the TT-01 with a silver can motor is a 25T pinion and a 55T spur. The 55T spur can be purchased as a hop-up from Tamiya - part number 53665 if you need it. I think you'll enjoy getting back to racing in the Quicksilver class. It's good fun - relatively cheap...

Re: Tamiya Mini
Tamiya M03 Minis were raced by a couple of guys quite successfully last year in the Quicksilver class. I expect they'll be back for more racing at some point this season too. The Minis seem at home among the Quicksilver racers - you'll certainly have fun running it and think how smug you can feel wh...

Re: Is there racing this Saturday 28-08-10?
The recently updated race calendar on the website says SATURDAY 28th AUGUST - NO RACING - TOWN & COUNTRY. So I think you can safely assume there's no racing. Stay home, get a sun lounger out and relax in the garden with a cool beer and barbecue - just like Bank Holiday weekends should be!!

Re: QuickSilver Top Mince Pie 2009 Piccys
The top QuickSilver mince pie award 2009 goes to SAINSBURYS for their deep fill mince pie. :D They were the first pies to have all dozen of them eaten. Closely followed by the Marks & Spencers mince pies and then the Co-op mince pies. Commiserations to Tesco for last place - clearly not the pie ...

Re: Quick Silver - Tamiya & RTR Touring Car Thread
Have I forgotten about the festivication of my race car? - oh no I haven't!! My car is getting a special Christmas make over! It would be great to see some other cars looking the part for Christmas so this would be a great time to get out their best party frock bodyshells, or add a dusting of glitte...

Re: Quick Silver - Tamiya & RTR Touring Car Thread
This thread has been getting a bit too serious of late with all this talk about rules  . So as it's Christmas and the next meeting is the last in the current season - Richard and I thought it would be a good idea to turn a wager we're having into something with a broader appeal - a mince pie ...

Re: Quick Silver - Tamiya & RTR Touring Car Thread
Hi Mikey, I say try these things and report back on here what you find. I'd be interested to hear your experiences on whether you find Lipo batteries and higher spec chassis are any major advantage once you've tried running them in the Quick Silver class. Others say they're not but another opinion f...

No objections from me on using the HPI Saturn 27T motor - it ticks all the right boxes. Sealed can 27T motor. Plain bushes. No internal fan.

Re: Quick Silver - Tamiya & RTR Touring Car Thread
That should work !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Cheers Richie - We've got to start somewhere to make the QuickSilver rules better known - here seemed like a good place to start! It's clear from earlier posts today that any use of G2 motors is having a negative effect on the race class as a whole - we can't have ...
