Re: Racing Saturday 3rd November

Its all well and good finding tyres to try, and posting pictures of them...........but is anyone actually going to volunteer to get some and try them? I have so far this season tried the Moorespeed, Team Powers, Sorex 32JB and Sorex 28JB. I am also considering trying the Sorex 28RY as I believe thes...

Re: Racing Saturday 3rd November

Hi all, I ran the Team Powers Tyres in the last final straight out of the packet and went pretty much as fast or as slow (depends how you want to look at it) as I did on my one week old Sorex tyres. Now they are run in, I will be running them in conjunction with the sorex to try to get a fair compar...

Re: Indoor.

Hi All, I am not sure about the 13.5t open class this year. A few of us (Myself, Dean etc...) have been discussing perhaps doing 10.5t blinky. This is basically the same speed as 13.5t boosted but just much nicer to drive. (I secretly tested 10.5t blinky 3-4 times last year and no-one really noticed...

Re: extending the day !

Morning all,
I am at the rugby club and am pleased to announce that although a little soft in places, the track should be ok to race on.

I am a touring car driver though and would have appreciated the input of a buggy driver or two!!! But, as expected its just me!!!!

Thanks

Re: extending the day !

Hi All, Dale, in response to your post, weather forecast I have seen (And its usually pretty reliable) says it is looking dry and reasonably clear early on in the morning with gradually more cloud as the day progresses. We may see some light showers around midday / early afternoon but nothing too he...

Re: extending the day !

Jon, For once......and it pains me to say this, I agree with you. Well, partly anyway!!! The 3 legged 'A' final thing is now, has always been and always be a stupid / unfair idea! It should be scrapped everywhere! And I did make a couple of 'A' finals last time I did regionals so its not because im ...

Re: extending the day !

Is that a definite thing then.....we start early?

Or is it just an idea at the minute?

I think the best option would be to raise it at racing on Saturday . A lot of people don't visit the forum and may turn up at normal time only to find that they have missed the start of the meeting.

Thanks

Re: mad rat setup

Hi Ian, I have had some limited experience of Hobbywing products and actually have one of the their speed controllers in my spare touring car. I run a 10.5t motor in that car and have never had a fan fitted to it. This has run with no problems at all for some time now. Having said that, I would alwa...

Re: HINCKLEY CLUBS 2012 BUGGY SEASON

Hi Keith, Just wanted to say thanks for the early update on the conditions. And a big thanks for all the work and effort you, Tom, Alan and the others have put in. I must say I find it very interesting how its always the same few people doing the work though!!! Would like to say I'm looking ...

Re: mad rat setup

Hi Ian, It certainly sounds as though the motors / Speed Controllers got a little too hot. This I would imagine would be more likely due to the higher voltage of Lipo batteries (Nominal 7.4v) over the Nimh / NiCd (7.2v Nominal) we used to use with brushed motors.....rather than a gearing problem. Al...

Re: Saturday 12th

Hi Keith, Would it not be a better idea to try to cut the grass today / this evening? It would save all the messing about in the morning and gives the grass even more time to dry. Also, if you have the unlikely event that the mower packs up, or there is a problem, there is always tomorrow morning to...

Re: Saturday 12th

Hi all, I live only about half a mile from the track and actually drive past the track on my way home from work. I will pop in on my way home this evening and have a look at how the track is getting on and update people on here. I know the official decision is agreed for Saturday Morning but if I le...

Re: HINCKLEY CLUBS BUGGY MEETING THIS SATURDAY - 28TH APRIL

I apologise if any of my comments / opinions come accross as negative.......this is not my intention, but I want OUR club.......which I feel is up there with the best in the country for numbers, organisation, facilities and driving standards to continue and push on to become bigger and better. Lets ...
