I wanted to start a new thread for the Quick Silver class. Please post your comments, pics, set-ups, news etc. here. As this is the first post, I thought I'd set the ball rolling... Here's a pic of my Tamiya TT01 Type E http://www.tamiyaclub.com/pictureframe.asp?t=n&id=img14357_06102009001524_1....

Does anyone know where the Club Cobra has gone?
Hi Folks, I'd be grateful if you could let me know where the Club Cobra buggy is - the car was last seen in the outdoor shipping container used to house the off-road track markings and ramps. Please get in touch with me ASAP as some of the electrics are required for the new Tamiya Club Touring Car. ...

Re: mardave gp
Hi Martin (welcome to the forum),
Good question - yes, please bring a table and chair for pitting. Electricity is available, although you may need to bring an extension lead to access it. There will be light refreshments, such as hot and cold drinks and snacks, available to buy.
Cheers
James

Re: Just saying hello
Hi Andy, Like Richard I'm also one of the chaps that races the vintage buggies and will be trying my hand at the new Tamiya/RTR touring car class this autumn. You'll love it - nothing too serious - just a bit of fun on a Saturday afternoon. The Club Car, as referred to by Richard, is currently in it...

Re: Touring Car Racing 2009
Hi Folks, If anyone is interested in having a go at the new Tamiya/RTR touring car class - there will be a Club Car (a Tamiya TT01 Type E) available for use shortly (i'm currently building it - hopefully I'll have it ready for the meeting on the 3rd October). A similar system will be in place for th...

Re: Classes for indoor season 2009/10
Hi RW,
I think the silver can motor is the only rule - we don't want too many rules that could put off potential racers. With regard to what type of motor - I suggest a G2 is the limit, but ideally people will use the 27T silver can they get with the kit.

Re: Classes for indoor season 2009/10
Richard (et al), I'd pefer the class to be the preserve of Tamiya and other entry level cars, but I can't see a problem in principle with the class being opened up to any touring car - provided the silver can rule is adhered to. Tamiya and RTR cars are usually budget versions of competition TCs and ...

Re: Classes for indoor season 2009/10
I'm trying to attract interest from outside the Club - so far I've posted on RC Race Chat and Modelsport UK forums with news of the new Tamiya/RTR silver can TC Class (see links below). Does anyone know of any other good forums where we can find club racers and potential newcomers? http://www.rcrace...

Great meeting everyone - that was just what we wanted. Thanks to everyone who participated in the Retro Racers series over the summer, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I hope you did too. Now looking forward to the indoor season.

Re: Classes for indoor season 2009/10
Yup - I think you're right Dale - the experience with the retro buggies shows that the motor limit helps to equal the differences between chassis types.
I'll put a post on the Tamiya Club and see what interest it drums up.

Re: Classes for indoor season 2009/10
Hi Dale, Glad to see the Mardave rules have been firmly established from the start - hopefully this will keep everyone happy and preserve the Mardave spirit. Also excited by the new Tamiya/RTR class - this might draw in more Tamiya Club members. I take it any type of Tamiya TC will be allowed, inclu...
