Re: Autumn campaign

Keith,

I have effectively made this thread redundant with a "News Announcement".

Re: Autumn campaign

Ian, JCC have had the floor of the Sports Hall refurbished, and claimed that we would spoil it, so didn't want us to use it (although they did offer the Gym or Main Hall). I think they have back-tracked a little but it has left a bitter taste in the mouths of the committee (due to the late announcem...

Re: Indoor.

I've booked the Sports Hall, we start back indoors mid-Sept. We will be having an 11am start with first race on line at 12:00. Obviously I will post sooner the time. Classes - I assume will be same as last year QuickSilver, 17.5 Blinky, 13.5 Open (all Tourers), and 1/12th GT (ex-Mardave, to include ...

Re: 17.5t Help needed

Dann, There were quite a few 17.5 drivers now (about 10-12), we seem to have a broad spectrum of speedo's, ranging from the Hobbywing version of the Speed Passion you have your eye on to Tekin's. Similarly, there is quite a range of different motors. The reality is that they all run in "Blinky ...

Re: MEETIN ON 5TH MAY Y CANCEL IT I THINK WE SHOULD RACE

All, I know that I don't race off-road, and I also realise that all of you who do are very keen to get the season underway. However I think that everyone should be mindful that it is not just the condition of the racing surface that has to be considered when a decision to cancel or not is made. We a...

Mid West Regionals

All, I had an e-mail from Tom Yardy the other day to let you all know that the dates and booking in is now open for the Mid West Regionals. Quote from e-mail follows : "Online entry is now open for the Mid West regionals 2012 - the calendar is live and you are now able to go along to the new an...

Re: Nosram Matrix Evolution ESC - No Boost Mode

Scott, I agree that you were on pace with others that were running "blinky" speedo's, I was watching your progress and you had nothing extra down the straight or out of the corners. I don't know what program setting you had it on, or gear ratio but it looked OK to me. I think for club raci...

Autumn Series 2011

There appears to be a few problems with the results for Rounds 2 and 3. It appears from the Championship that Dale Knight and Andrew Slingsby contested 17.5 in round 2 (they didn't), similarly Andy Lappin is shown not to have taken part but actually won that week. Similarly, the results for round 3 ...

Re: SOREX 28's BACK IN STOCK AT HRCCC

No, the club only supplies the pre-mounted Sorex 28's. In my experience there is little point in getting just the tyres because they cost about £10 a pair, and invariably the actual wheel tends to suffer damage (cracking at the Hex, or even a slight warp) and trying to get the old tyres off the whee...

Re: Touring Cars - 17.5t - NO TIMING?

Jordan, I am running an LRP X12 which last week had the motor timing set to -10degrees, with an FDR of 4.2, I have a heatsink/fan on the motor and it came off at the end of 5 mins at ~75degrees C. I have been playing with the speedo settings (punch / drag brake) over the first 2 meetings of the seas...

Re: Touring Cars - 17.5t - NO TIMING?

Daz, Mark Stevens made the same comment to me, I can assure everyone that Tom, Chris F, Ian Robson and myself were all running zero-timing (blinky) speedos / setup (not sure what Chris C was running because he has an LRP speedo which may or may not have some timing advance). For myself, I am running...

Re: 10th sept meeting

Ian, We have the sports hall booked from 12:00, with a view to getting set up and racing started before 13:30. However if the hall is empty prior to 12:00 people generally like to get in and begin setting up. (I don't know whether the hall is in use before 12:00 this weekend - the cricketers usually...

Darren,

I don't know whether Roger has been reading this thread, so I have just sent him a text message to let him know that you are waiting for commitment from him that we are willing to finance the rostrum.
