Re: HRCCC Team Race??

Hi Chris, A 4000mAh battery should last about 25 minutes with a silver can - perhaps a little longer if you were to drive economically - so 3 packs rather than 2 may be required to allow for charging - the point being that battery strategy should be an integral part of the event. I'd don't think the...

Re: HRCCC Team Race??

I agree that a charity event is the way to go and preferably a local one as this should increrase the chance of coverage by local press and interest from other local clubs. The charity aspect may also appeal to RC publications, BRCA, fundraising matching from employers, RC manufacturers etc. Lots to...

Re: HRCCC Team Race??

Hi Tom,

I like your idea - especially from a QuickSilver perspective (although I'm probably biased  ). I think this would be good for the Club and everyone participating.

If (via this thread) you can drum up some support, I'll raise it with the committee.

Cheers

Re: Tamiya Mini

Hi Bish, Welcome to the forum... Following on from the other posts, the guys running the M03s last season got them going really well and had a whale of time. They fit well within the Quick Silver class and offer a comparable level of performance, but with the added appeal of being something differen...

A big thank you to Ben and Ben for putting on an excellent meeting yesterday. The whole day ran like clock work. Track layout was awesome fun - thanks to whoever was/were responsible for it.

Re: On-board camcorders

Hi Rich,

Good to hear from you - cheers for the comments. Quality would also be improved if we'd cut a hole in the windscreen. Not sure what we could do about the angle, but the frame rate might be worth looking at.

Cheers

Re: Quicksilver Class in Off-Road?

Hi Michael,

Would love to see the Bandit - you know where to find us - in the corridor at the bottom of the stair well.

As you know - the Rustler is essentially the same as a Bandit - so I don't see a problem if you fancy giving it a blast.

Re: Quicksilver Class in Off-Road?

Scott,

The Wild Willy is ace - despite it's tendancy to wheelie everywhere, the handling is really good. I'd also recommend a Lunchbox - as with the Wild Willy - they're great fun and quite raceable (if you can stop laughing - that is).

Re: Quicksilver Class in Off-Road?

Hi Mike, I've just got a newly built ReRe Hotshot in a trade. Simon Mitchell ran one last year with good results. A Clodbuster would be cool, but not sure it would fit under the transponder bridge :!: The Traxxas Bandit qualifies under the rule of pre 96 - Richard Dobson used one over the summer, bu...

YouTube link as promised...

Some of the quality has been lost when uploading onto YouTube, but still entertaining.

Re: Quicksilver Class in Off-Road?

Hi Mike, Following on from Scott's post - the class is called is 'Retro Racers' and would be perfect for Norman. The racing is more about having fun than winning. The class is for off-road cars originally manufactured before 1996. As there are now a wide selection of re-released Tamiya models curren...
