A mardave chassie is 1000g even before you stick any thing on it. So when you start taken holes out of it you will be under that weight straight away. But when you have your ..servo ..batteries.. receiver..speedo..motor. and all the other parts of the car on it. you well over the weight any way.

Yes. packing the motor pod to much means you are stopping it moving to side to side making the rear of the car solid.
