I think I'll take 3 of those if you don't mind James. World beaters would be great - but just good enough to keep in front of Aiden will do me!!

Re: what ESC??
Andy, I'm pretty happy running the stock Tamiya TEU101BK ESC that until recently was included with most Tamiya kits. Seems to do the job with no hassle. But I'd guess any ESC will do - just make sure it's got forward and reverse. Officially reverse is required to meet the class rules, but more impor...

Re: 29/01/2011
Brilliant - Glad you both had such a good time. Thoroughly enjoyed your company and look forward to racing with you for the rest of the season. The Tamiya TT-01E is the perfect chassis for having some good, simple, cheap racing in Quicksilver class. Though Andy you may want to have a read through so...

Re: HRCCC's 2011 OFF-ROAD OUTDOOR RACE CALENDAR
Dean's certainly got a point there. I'd be interested to know the clubs reasons for picking a mid May start to the season. Dale did ask for opinions on the forum regarding the start date for buggies but only got two replies. Maybe the lack of response made him think there was little interest in gett...

Re: Mardave Spares at the club
Hi Dann, The club themselves have a stock of Mardave parts, G2 Motors, Bodyshells, Tyres etc. All are kept in drawers or plastic boxes down by the race control computer. Just see whoever's running race control if you have any questions. I've never seen batteries for sale though. You will probably ha...

To me the man to beat is ALWAYS Norman... ...anybody else is just a bonus!!
Good to have you racing Quicksilver again Michael - we know you're really a Quicksilver guy at heart. Your dedication to the Tamiya brand has been admirable.

Re: Buggy Management Team
Hi Dale, I'd like to think we joined the club to race so lets get out there and racing the buggies ASAP. We can't second guess the weather. April could be glorious or it could equally be like mid winter. Either way as long as it's dry I'd like to be racing. Would we still have the option of coming i...

Re: HRCCC Team Race??
A charity endurance race seems a great idea - but I'm not sure an over nighter is the best way to do it. For a start some of us seriously need our beauty sleep! Wouldn't the chance of pulling in 60+ drivers to take part be more likely with sociable hours? Maybe not get hung up on the idea ...

Re: Saturn 27t Motor and FDR for Quicksilver
Mikey What were you running for motor cooling on your TT-01 with the bigger pinions? I've got a stock TB-02 clip-on heatsink, no active cooling, I'm not sure my motor would take any higher as it is. Have you got a link for ordering pinions from China? - I've been buying them at Modelsport but I'm al...

Re: Saturn 27t Motor and FDR for Quicksilver
Hi Mikey, Found this FDR chart for the Tamiya TT-01 chassis on the internet...I think most of us TT-01 drivers are running the 55T spur with the 25T pinion giving an FDR of 5.72

Re: Quick Silver - Tamiya & RTR Touring Car Thread
Hi Nick, Cheers mate. Good to see your set-up too. Absolutely agree the Tamiya TT-01E is good chassis for the Quicksilver class. You've got it spot on with the ethos thing - that's why I'm loving this class. Being able to enjoy racing with any chassis, even a basically box stock cheap Tamiya chassis...

Re: Quick Silver - Tamiya & RTR Touring Car Thread
Cheers for the info Justin - It's good to see what makes your car a race winner ( along with the top driving of course  ) Looking at that I'm really pleased with how my TT-01 performed. It's box stock TT-01E bar the fitting of ballraces and the 55T spur gear. That's stock plastic chassis, stoc...
