Re: Winter 2011 Series : What Classes
Darren, I e-mailed Roger because of my own doubt about the proposed 13.5t class, his response (which I hope he won't mind me sharing) is below : Ian, My thoughts on the HRCCC club classes for touring cars going forward are: 10.5t as stands 13.5t as stands 17.5t, classified as STOCK TOURING with non ...

Winter 2011 Series : What Classes
HRCCC are keen to adopt the new BRCA Clubman classes for Touring Cars after Christmas, with this in mind I thought it would be a good idea to gauge interest in the classes to find out what people wanted to race. The choices as I see them are : 10.5 with on-the-fly timing advance/turbo (as per curren...

Re: Quick Silver - Tamiya & RTR Touring Car Thread
Since we returned indoors, I've been running 17.5 (fixed timing motor) with a 2 year old ESC (no turbo or on-the-fly-timing-advance). My lap times are anything up to a second a lap slower than a good 13.5 racer with an all-the-bells-and-whistles ESC (on the fast circuit we've run for the last 2 week...

New Indoor Circuits
All, I have updated the Track Diagrams section to include the new circuit designs that we have been using for the last 3 weeks. It is the intention to use the same circuit for a couple of weeks on the trot, and ultimately to capture each driver's Personal Bests for each circuit. The new diagrams can...

Re: HPI Springs for TC
Dale, Do you know what poundage those springs are? I have TC springs from both Associated and Schumacher, of various poundages (I still work in lb ft, not g metre), she's more than welcome to borrow any of those - I have my Mi4LP fitted with Schumacher Blue (16lb) and White (14lb) and don't intend c...

Re: Final Drive Ratios
Michael, I have generally been running a FDR of 5.95 with my Nosram Evo ISTC, and Nosram Storm motor (us old boys in the corner all run about the same with similar kit, although I don't have my punch setting as high as the others). However towards the end of last weeks meeting I tried an FDR of 6.26...

Re: 2010 MARDAVE RULES AT HRCCC
All, I think that allowing Brushless motors coupled with a 1s LiPo is definately the way forward in the Mardave class, so long as the performance is limited / monitored so that it closely matches the existing 4-cell NiMh powered G1/G2 motors. I know Gary trialled a Nosram Dragon 13.5T motor with 1s ...

Autumn Championship 14-11-09 Rd 8
Ben,
It looks like there may be a problem with the championship after Rd 8. Robert Bush hasn't got a score attributed to him. He certainly raced and finished somewhere ahead of me.

Re: After a bit more speed (Motor timing etc)
Rich, I spoke to Craig on Saturday, seems he's running some Trinity motor that I've never heard of that he had off a team driver. I don't know what rollout he's got on it. Over the course of the day I steadily upped the punch profile on my Nosram Evo ISTC speedo to it's punchiest (program 8), and al...

Re: After a bit more speed (Motor timing etc)
Rich, It might be an idea to see what roll out Gibbo is running. Currently I'm running 5.95, and I don't think I'm anything like as quick as you two, but having said that, speed down the straight will depend a fair bit on the corner speed you can carry out of the last corner, and obviously any punch...

An aerial tube sticking out of the body is fine.

Buggy Meeting 16th May 2009
Guys, If you arrive before I do on Saturday (which I'm sure you will), can you leave the bridge up by the container so that I can paint the lettering on it. Hopefully the masking will have survived the packing away this week  I should be there about 11AM, and the spray paint I intend to use is...

I think that the bikes at Bedworth were the 1/8th Venom GPV-1's.
