Re: motors?

Its been a while James! I dont think I will be able to sleep tomorrow... too excited! haha. We still allowed to pit round the corner? Have missed the gentleman atmosphere with the crude jokes a lot over the summer! Hi Dann, Me neither - I'll be too excited thinking about getting my hands on some di...

Re: Touring Cars - 17.5t - NO TIMING?

Hi Jordon, Welcome to the forum... I think most people run the LRP X12 with FDR around 4.5 (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong). At that gearing you'll need to run a fan on the motor to keep the temperatures down a bit. Hope that helps... Perhaps we'll see you this weekend - booking in op...

Re: The outdoor track

Hi James/Keith, We had a Committee meeting the other week - the outdoor track was on the agenda. An action from the meeting is for Dale to discuss our longer term aspirations with the Rugby Club so that we can start making some firm plans for next year's season. As soon as we know what's happening, ...

Re: 2011 race class's

Thanks Richard

Roger and Dale will be involved with the Nationals for the next few weeks, so Ben McQueen will be looking after the meeting this Saturday (10th) and Ian Smith has kindly offered to run race control the following week (17th).

Thanks

Re: motors?

Hi Dann, Unfortunately I'm having trouble with my plumbing ( bathroom) so won't be there this week. I had hoped to have got it sorted by now, but progress had been a little slower than anticipated. :doh However I'm racing on the 17th and will gladly have a look at your Johnson then; just pop ...

Re: motors?

Hi Craig, Following on from Richard's post - it's the same motor requirements as the previous seasons. We have a good stock of motors (Tamiya silver end Mabuchi RS540SH) available from the Club priced at £7 each - just ask at race control. If you've got a number of motors and you want to see which o...

Re: Help setting up a brushless esc

Cheers Baz,

That should help with the FDR, but I'm still after some help with the esc settings i.e. good starting points for boost, timing etc.

Cheers

Help setting up a brushless esc

Hi Folks, OK - I've given in and decided to try a brushless set-up. From my observation of the buggies - a 6.5 motor is too much for Hinckley, hence my decision to go with a milder motor (less is more). I've gone for a Hobbywing 120A 1S esc (similar to the Speed Passion) with boost etc. and a Speed ...

Re: RACING AT HRCCC EVERY SATURDAY THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER

Hi Chaps, As Dean posted the other day and discussed at the last meeting - we'll be racing on the grass area we currently pit on for the remainder of the season to give the track a rest in advance of dBoots GP. This should prove to be a positive move as there'll be a fresh racing surface available f...
