Re: Gearing Help needed

Hi Dann, A good starting point in Quick SIlver is 5.5 FDR (Final Drive Ratio). The FDR is calculated by multiplying the transmission ratio (diff/pulley) by the ratio of spur to pinion. The equation is :study : FDR = (diff/pulley) x (spur/pinion) If you have a specific spur you want to use and need t...

Re: SOREX 28's BACK IN STOCK AT HRCCC

Hi Ryan I'd go for either the 30 or softer 27 compound - depending on how much grip you think you need with the Yokomo chassis. Most of us run 32 compound Sweeps in the Quick Silver class - in fact the TT01E chassis runs better on this harder compound tyre as it's less likely to grip roll. Cheers Ja...

Re: Quicksilver setup - TA05

D'oh :doh - you're quite correct Richard - I've just checked my gear chart - sorry

Dann, I'd go for the 28T pinion on the 68T spur - giving the 5.46 FDR - that should be pretty much spot on.

Re: Quicksilver setup - TA05

Dann, if you 'juan a juin'? Then you must 'jclern about their juays' (read it as if you were Jack Black in Nacho Libre). Not wishing to contradict Captain Club Car - but the TT01E should be running 5.5 FDR with the 25/55 pinion/spur combination (I think he's feeling threatened, hence the duff info)....

Hi All,

Just a quick correction - the GP will be going ahead; however we're in the process of moving the date. We'll hopefully be able to confirm the situation very soon.

Thanks

Re: not long til were back indoors so what classes are comfe

Hi Ryan, No timing refers to the speed controller setting for brushless systems - you may be familiar with the timing setting on a modified brushed motor, which changes the angle of the brush hood on the end bell relative to the magnets in the can; the more you advance the timing, the greater the po...
