Re: Supporting existing classes

Well, if Craig Races his V12 with the 'Sensorless' Mardave Brushless System again, this Saturday, I'll run my Mardave with my 'Sensored' Speedo/10.5T Motor as an experiment...........if the 10.5T ends up being faster(which is doubtful), we can then eliminate this from the Debate...............if it ...

Re: Supporting existing classes

I'm not saying that a 10.5T is the right step(as I'm happy with a 13.5T), I'm just saying thats what would be required with a Sensored Speedo, to be equal to the Mardave Brushless System. Unfortunately, I only have one 10.5T Motor. :( Gazza........I'm sure that Warren has a 10.5T Motor spare, as he'...

Re: Supporting existing classes

For once, I have to agree with Gazza  A small Group of us have been using the Sensored Design/13.5T Brushless System for a good few weeks now & found them fantastic! We've found it smooth, precise, reliable & totally maintainance free, as well as giving more Punch & a alittle more...

Re: Supporting existing classes

Hi Richie, I can sort of see your point, concerning the Mardave Class, but its Mardave themselves that have caused this, by releasing their own Brushless System.............whether we think its a good or bad thing, they've decided to take a Beginner Class & progress it to the next level............

Re: Mardave Classification

I agree with Richie.........that there should only be 2 Classes for Mardaves. The STANDARD CLASS with the 'Brushed' G1/G2 Motor has been going for a long time & has worked fine as it is, so this should really stay as it is. This should be left as the Beginners/Entry Level Class, which is very ch...

Re: Mardave Classification

Not the Carbon Fibre Chassis again  ........its the same shape as a Standard Mardave Aluminium Chassis & Commercially available to everyone from Fibre-Lyte! I tried the 'Sensored' System with a 13.5T Motor, as an experiment, due to the unrealiability & lack of control from the 'Sensorl...

Re: CORNERS ON THE TRACK!!!

I have to admit, the White/Red painted Wooden Discs do make the Track look really proffessional looking & were'nt really a problem when they were first made/fitted to the Track.................since then though, we've had the introduction of a 12th Pan Car Heat, which obviously runs slightly low...

SUMMER 2009 ELECTRIC BUGGY RACE CALENDER/SEASON

I'm really pleased that the Hinckley Club has managed to get one of the 2WD Buggy Rounds for the West Midlands Off-Road Championships this year. I think that this will encourage Racers from other Clubs to attend our Weekly Club Off-Road Meetings every Saturday through the Summer.......so it should e...

Re: 4WD buggies

I'm running the Atomic Carbon S2 2WD Buggy, which can ONLY take Batteries in a Saddle Pack configuration. The Trakpower 3200 Saddle Packs that I use, weigh around 206g, which are considerably lighter than a Pack of 6Cell Orion SHO 4200 NiMh Batteries(these weigh around 413g). To compensate for this,...

Re: pro 10 pan car.

Hi Warren, Personally, I dont think that those Pro10 Cars are suitable for Racing Indoors. They were provisionally made for large open Outdoor Tarmac Tracks, due to their Size & Speed! Eventhough there 1/10th Scale, they seem to dwarf a 1/10th Touring Car.......maybe due to the Bodyshell shape? ...

Re: 4WD buggies

Hi David, I dont know exactly what mah I had left in my 3200 Lipo Saddle Packs, after a Race, but the Lipo Charger I used, told me what % I had left. Most of the time, I think that I had around 20% of Power left, after a Race at the Hinckley Grass Track(when the Grass was cut short). On a couple of ...
