Re: Gluing Tyres Back onto the wheels?

Hi Mike, Did you run at Ardent on Sunday? I have found that the high grip conditions at Ardent can tear the sidewall after only a few runs. Its not so much the tyres coming off the rims but the sidewall actually ripping. If I am going to run at Ardent I will glue the tyres straight out the packet......

Re: Winter 2011 Series : What Classes

Hi All, Well, I have just placed my order for my new 13.5t motor ready for saturday........quite looking forward to getting back to racing!! Anyway, Just had another thought on this new 'Superstock class'........Would it be worth considering running this as 13.5t non turbo Superstock?? My reasons fo...

Re: Winter 2011 Series : What Classes

Hi dom, This speedo is effectively a blue version of the nosram matrix evolution stock spec Justin mentioned earlier in this thread (38 degree advance on setting 8). Providing its not used on profile 8 then I don't see it being a problem....but as I am not running in this class I wouldn't like to sa...

Re: Winter 2011 Series : What Classes

Hi all, Can I ask what speedo it is you are running please? I will try to clear up the non timing / advance timing disagreement for you. If it is a LRP SPX Stock Spec (Nosram Matrix Evo Stock spec is the same) then punch / power settings 7 and 8 do add an amount of advance (fixed) timing. If it is a...

Re: Winter 2011 Series : What Classes

Hi all, After the turn out on Saturday of 10.5t entrants (As Martyn and Dean have mentioned) I have decided to make the step into the 13.5t class to give that a whirl. I think the point Dan has mde about the cars feeling slow if we abandon advance timing is a very good one. I like the speed with the...

Re: Winter 2011 Series : What Classes

Hi Ian, Have these 'New BRCA Classes' now been decided and clarified? I know they were proposed but have no idea when the AGM was / is and was not sure if they were now 'set in stone'. Providing they are now 'final' I am happy to put my vote to 13.5t no timing. I plan to attempt to do the nationals ...

Re: Off Road Work Party

I understand we wont want / need a full roll and wasnt suggesting that we try to incorporate that amount into the track. What I was trying to say is if he is willing to give it to us free of charge, I think its asking a bit much for him to cut it to size and deliver it for us.? Can we arrange some f...

Re: Off Road Work Party

Hi everyone, A friend of mine works for a 'synthetic sports surface' company and may be able to help us out with some astroturf. I need to know how much we are going to need? And I will see if he can sort us some out. The only problem I see with this idea having spoken to my friend is the weight of ...

Re: 2010 MARDAVE RULES AT HRCCC

Sorry to jump in again but you all say the 'Must have reverse' rule eliminates top end speedos............Well, just to spoil the party..... The GM Genius to my knowledge(Arguably the most powerful / quickest and best speedo of them all) has the option of reverse.

Sorry guys!

Thanks

Re: 2010 MARDAVE RULES AT HRCCC

Hi Everyone, As a former Mardave driver (And champion - Twice - Thanks Dean) I thought I would add my opinion into this....... The one cell / lipo idea is great in principal, as long as we maintain the entry level standard mardave class as an option for beginners. I cant imagine anyone wanting to sp...

Re: Quick Silver - Tamiya & RTR Touring Car Thread

Richie, I hope you're right.....and it does sort itself out. It is a gret class and looks like a lot of fun for those involved. There is some very close racing and its great to watch. I am just concerned that if the rules are taken too far (Lipo's / ESC's outlawed) people will move away from it as i...

Re: Quick Silver - Tamiya & RTR Touring Car Thread

Dale, Just a thought......can the club (Or Eric) get a bulk load of these motors so they are available on race day? And, if its RTR class, should Lipos or Upgrade ESC's be allowed? Not trying to cause trouble.........but more of a performance gain can come from good Lipos and good ESC than running a...

Just a reminder as I know your memory is fading......its an age thing!

There is no racing next week!
