Re: [POLL ADDED] The mardave championship discussion...
Tim, Nick For information, a meeting was held at the club by the Mardave Racing membership and the current rules were agreed for at least the remainder of this season, so Tim don't blame the committee. Anyway Tim what do you care, you can't even be bothered to race at the club, your name doesn't app...

Re: Racing Calendar
Thanks Dean
Perhaps Dale/Ben can arrange to ammend our racing calendar accordingly.

Racing Calendar
Hi All I have been looking at the racing calendars over the summer period 2009 and their appears a difference between our's and Coventry's calendar regarding the stoneleigh show. We show the event starting on the 22nd August and Coventry shows the 29th,30th and 31st of August. I presume these are th...

Re: 1S LiPo equivalent to 4 Cell NiMH
OK the 7.2 1800 lipo's we tried at xmas were cheap and very good but wern't hard cased, we should stay well clear of these, however I did hear I think Bob Burr say that someone has done a hard cased 7.4 lipo for a Carisma. If we can find the size of these they may fit a mardave and that could be a w...

Re: 1S LiPo equivalent to 4 Cell NiMH
Hi James
If the justification is cost, why don't we just run a 2 cell lipo, these are commonly available, cheap to purchase, and we don't need a booster card.
we can then use existing motors, electrics, etc, etc. Didn't someone once say "lets keep this simple".

Re: mardave motorbike sidecar
Yes, well spottred Nick, as I say not sure if these are the same as going around bedworth but certainly look similar. Judging by the driving wheel position I could imagine some torque steer as you accelerate/decelerate. I guess something like this, if allowed to race, would need to be in the modifie...

Re: mardave motorbike sidecar
Hi all Ian's responce was an answer to the 3rd post, about 3 weeks ago some bikes which were 1/8 scale Venom's were racing around Bedworth with I think 3 motorcycles with side cars, it was suggested these were Mardaves but I don't think they were, one was quite large and a few years old, I will try ...

You miserable mickey taking lot !
I think it looks "all Right"
Looks a smooth flowing track, similar to carpet masters at stafford last week and that was packed out with 9 heats.

Re: Need Help With Gearing Mardave Brushless and 27t Motor
Seams Reasonable. Whats the worst that can happen either its a bit slow and cool or still a bit slow and hot, the beauty of 27t stock with 4 cells is their virtually indestructible, I havent been able to cook one yet, a light skin is the worst case senario.

Re: mardave motorbike sidecar
I don't think the ones at Bedworth were actually mardaves, does anyone have any photos of the Mardave m otorcycle and sidecar being proposed, I must admit most will probably buy one to try out.

Re: Need Help With Gearing Mardave Brushless and 27t Motor
Hi Michael
This probably won't help, but I gear my 27t stock motor the same as my G2, and just adjust one pinion either way as fine adjustment, depending on how its running and the track.

Chill out Gazza
Think about the old blood pressure
I don't understand your issue here, a 19t brushed is slower than a 10.5t brushless, so whats the big issue,
This is presumably why Dale has said its OK to race in the same race. This is a lot of fuss over nothing !

Well I run a mardave diff, quite pleased, relatively smooth, prevents the spurs gear from chewing up, I'm not convinced its any quicker, just different.

Re: Mardave Classification
I had one of those on a Frontera 2.8tdi Long Wheel Base. Limited slip diff that is on the back. I tell you it was awesome. It had automatic locking hubs on the front. You couldn't get it stuck, used to wear back tyres out though when pulling out of tee junctions with the power on, I used to love it....
