Re: Quick Silver - Tamiya & RTR Touring Car Thread

Hi Eddy In the mind the problem is though the process is fundamentially flawed. These motors are generally not marked and can be purchased in numerous different windings. How can a person be sure he is buying a 27t motor, the seller may assume its 27t but it might be 25, 22,19 turn. Let face theres ...

Re: Quick Silver - Tamiya & RTR Touring Car Thread

OK but a couple of points, who is going to scrutinise this ? and secondly the mardave motor is a silver can, so you need some simple rules posting to ensure this isn't mis interpreted in the future. The lad with the motor today was James, who to be truthful would probably of won anyway I must confes...

Re: Quick Silver - Tamiya & RTR Touring Car Thread

Hi All I would like clarification please, Mardave motors are costs effective and locally available in an abundance, are they allowed in RTR. From what I understand they are 25t and the original concept was the motors should be 27t. James can you please clarify. Just for the record I think they shoul...

Re: 2009 AGM 26th September 2009

OK Thanks Dale

Rebecca normally works on a Saturday, however is hoping to attend the race meeting on the 28th November to meet up with friends and have a fun days racing.

Perhaps she could collect her trophy then, alternative I'll have to take it on her behalf.

Cheers Richard

Re: 2009 AGM 26th September 2009

I can't comment on the AGM, I didn't plan to attend but, I must agreee regarding the trophies, they don't appear to have materialised despite comments like they have been ordered. I know Rebecca was looking forward to receiving her trophy from early 2009.

Re: Quick Silver - Tamiya & RTR Touring Car Thread

Hi Richard I use shoe goo for body repairs and have done for some time, its also excellent for sticking NiMl cells together in side by side configuration, helps keep the pack robust in an accident. One thing I use when repairing shells is plasterers tape, this is like a nylone mesh approx 50mm wide,...

Re: Classes for indoor season 2009/10

I personally for a bit of fun would like to try this. I have in the loft an old touring car along with brushed speedo and servo. Is their any specific sort of silver can or will anything comply. Also would their be any other rules ? i.e. weight, tyres, lipo, 6 cell ? I think if I used my old radio 6...

Re: Classes for indoor season 2009/10

Has the club considered opening this up to any touring car with a silver can motor.

thinking about this, often secondhand touring cars are cheaper than some of the ready to runs. If anyone has an old TC, say over 2 years old it could be included in this category. Richard

One for Dale

Regarding the rules for a silver can class, would foam tyres be allowed ?

Re: Classes for indoor season 2009/10

Hi All My minds still not made up on what to race this coming indoor season. Looking for Mardave Oval, but don't know anywhere relatively local. Can anyone explain what cars a tamiya RTR might include, always fancied trying aTamiya FWD mini. Really don't want to race Mardave round JCC with a silver ...
