Thanks Dale

Its good to understand the direction the club is taking, we can then focus our minds accordingly.

Re: 2010 MARDAVE RULES AT HRCCC

Can anyone speak with any degree of authority regarding the likehood of availability of NiMl cells over the next 12 months. I think this would be a relevant point here.

Re: 2010 MARDAVE RULES AT HRCCC

So I assume its fair to say because they are so slow with a 1S LIPO that no one will have any objection if I trial a lower turn silver can or tamiya sport motor. Your all probably right, I'm sure gazza's going to kill me LOL and I know you all have my best interests at heart but I would like to try ...

Re: 2010 MARDAVE RULES AT HRCCC

Hi Paul, thankyou for your responce, I was interested in how the Saturn 20c would have run with a 1C lipo in comparison to a G2 on 4 cell niml. Has anyone at your club tried this arrangement ?

My view is that if the motor outputs can be made to be comparible, I feel we only need one championship.

Re: 2010 MARDAVE RULES AT HRCCC

Before everyone jumps down my throat thinking I'm against Gazzas arrangement, I'm not, I'm likely to go the same route however, the problem is here that in these credit crunch times most new starters don't want to buy a £50 chassis with an additional £176 worth of propulsion. There only other option...

Re: 2010 MARDAVE RULES AT HRCCC

Another thought further to Darrens Post, you could limit the brushless system to a combi system of maximum RRP of say £100, that would stop people buying better faster kit, well in theory anyway.

Re: 2010 MARDAVE RULES AT HRCCC

I must confess I agree with Nick, Gazzas kit is comparible with a new G2 motor, I know Gazza spent the following on his system 1s LiPo £56, smart boost £25, Motor combo 13.5 with speed control £95 Total £176 Remember people Gazzas kit his only an upgrade, people can still start on the basic kit Rich...

Re: 2010 MARDAVE RULES AT HRCCC

Another option might be to change the spec of the brushed motor, the current mardave unit as we all know is 25t, however tamiya do make a cheap sport version, which I don't know what the turn value is but its a lot more powerful on 4.8v, but how would it perform on a single LIPO, may be worth trying...

Re: 2010 MARDAVE RULES AT HRCCC

Hi Dale If I'm interpreting you correctly, your considering banning the use of a Mardave G2 motor in a Mardave and replacing with an alternative higher turn 27turn motor. I'm struggling with logic here, that would be a slower unit ! I think the feedback your referring equally applies to all silverca...

Re: 2010 MARDAVE RULES AT HRCCC

Very informative Thanks Dean I do keep forgetting just how much I have spent on Mardave motors in the last 3 months, I think I have bought something like 8 in total. Might actually be even more Because your running a single cell lipo, I can't imagine the motor ever wearing out, apart from the bearin...
