Re: Summer Buggy Racing at Hinckley

Dale, The Video was for your benefit........to get you in the mood to wipe the dust off your Buggy & give it a Blast! Maybe your suggestion of having the Table Top Ramp situated directly infront of the Rostrum & the main Straight at the back of the Track will work well............all w...

Re: Summer Buggy Racing at Hinckley

Hi Dale, I saw the new Outdoor Rostrum & Walkway down the Slope last Saturday.........looks good mate :D Obviously, strengthening the Ramps(mainly the Upslope & Downslope of the Table Top)is a high priority, as they were 'warping' quite alot, towards the end of last Summer. I do also think t...

Re: MIDLAND ASTRO-TURF MASTERS THIS SUNDAY - 12TH APRIL

Hi all, Justin, James, Kenney, Jb, Paul & me had a fantastic Days Racing at Kidderminster yesterday, there was a good turnout of Racers(including some regular 'A' final Drivers), as well as the Weather being Hot & Sunny allday. The Track Layout was quite Technical but fast, with some very Tr...

Re: MIDLAND ASTRO-TURF MASTERS THIS SUNDAY - 12TH APRIL

David,

I can assure you that the Track is Astro-Turf & NOT Carpet

There generally seems to be that much Grip there, that you can get away with using Part Worn Mini-Spike Tyres

Re: MIDLAND ASTRO-TURF MASTERS THIS SUNDAY - 12TH APRIL

I'm sure that it seems odd to everyone, that Coventry is holding a Club Meeting this Sunday, considering the Midland Astro-Turf Masters is a joint Championship between Kidderminster & them.............The reason being is that this Round(which appears to be the LAST Round) was originally schedule...

Re: A vote for indoor buggies.

I'm definately intrested in giving Indoor Buggy Racing a go at some point..........I'll make a decision on whether to Race Buggies, Touring Cars or 12th Pan Cars nearer the time of the next Indoor Winter Season, which is around September i think? All I do know, is that I wont be Racing Mardaves agai...

Re: who is doing the regionals this year?

I think that if the Hinckley Club was to have an Indoor Buggy Heat, with various Jumps & Obstacles(similar to Worksop & West Bridgford), then running Rubber Mini-Pin Tyres would be the only way to go.............as its not really possible to have an Off-Road style layout Indoors, because of ...

Re: who is doing the regionals this year?

I've still got great Memories of Racing 2WD Buggies Indoors at the Hinckley Club :D To get good grip with Rubber Tyres on Carpet, you'd have to go for Schumacher Yellow Mini-Pins, unfortunately though, you'd be lucky to get 2 Meetings out of them, as they wear so quickly. At around £16 a Set(excludi...
