Re: Mardave rules 2008

Hi, I have been running IB4200's for about 2 years now and have not had a single problem with them exploding and I charge them at 6 amps.....sometimes more if I am struggling for time. I will agree however that the self discharging is a right pain in the ___.! I think the key is to use a good qualit...

Re: Mardave rules 2008

To be honest, I have never trickled my batteries......or not for about 15 years anyway. I think it depends on what you buy.....If you buy 'matched' then they will have already been charged/discharged a number of times to allow them to be matched. Therefore they should be ok to just go straight into ...

Re: Mardave rules 2008

OK mate, no probs. If you hear of anyone after any cheap batteries then let me know please? (I am going to try to match them into 4 cell packs sometime this week) Anyway, I charge my Intellect 4200's at 6 amps.....I dont know what the recommended charge rate is but I have had no problems charging at...

Re: Mardave rules 2008

Yes, they are from a few seasons ago.....I got them to test and build into 4 cell packs for mardave racing. I then splashed out on new touring car cells and used my old ones (Intellect 4200Mah) for mardave. I therefore no longer have a use for these. I would think that if cycled, tested and matched ...

Re: Mardave rules 2008

I dont think we can work to a list in this case as there isn't one list that covers all batteries. Although Roger Cosgrove has posted the 2007 list in oneof the other sections. In my opinion It should be a combination of the 2007, and 2008 lists.....with the addition of GP3300, GP3700, Sanyo 2400. A...

Re: 2WD ELECTRIC BUGGY RACING OVER THE SUMMER

I tend to agree with Dean (Wacker1) on the ramp situation. Myself and Scott had to do some running repairson one of the jumps (drill and peg it down) as it was so badly warped that cars were not getting up it.....they were just hitting the warped edge. This is a potential car breaker and not good fo...

Re: Mardave rules 2008

In that case.....I would say 4600Mah Nimh.

This is as far as I am aware currently the highest capacity cells available in Nimh form.

Hope this helps
Thanks

Re: Mardave rules 2008

Hi Gazza, Sorry, I think you may have mis-understood the BRCA rules...... They state...... In addition to batteries included in the homologation list......etc This rule talks about the capacity limit (3300Mah) on 'pre-built' sport packs as these are not detailed on the homologation list......If you ...

Re: 2WD ELECTRIC BUGGY RACING OVER THE SUMMER

Hi Tom,

Can you tell me if you still have the XXX Tyres? If you do, can you please tell me what they are (Compound and Type). Also, how much are you wanting for them?

Thanks

Re: 2WD ELECTRIC BUGGY RACING OVER THE SUMMER

Hi David, If you are not keen on 'borrowing' cells....I have 6 x 6 cell packs of Schumacher XVS GP3300's that are going very very cheaply. I have had these for a while now, but have decided to have a clearout/tidyup and just want rid. How about £3.00 a pack? If you want all 6 then £15 for the lot. L...

Re: 2WD ELECTRIC BUGGY RACING OVER THE SUMMER

Yes, No probs. Got a 50m extension as well so we can put it miles away..!

Now how do I book in.? I am guessing these 'out of touch' buggy people haven't got a central booking type setup.?

Re: 2WD ELECTRIC BUGGY RACING OVER THE SUMMER

Dale, I understand you. Thomas and a few others are visiting Kidderminster for a regional this weekend? Well, I have managed to secure the loan of a B4 for the weekend and as there is no touring fun to be had, figured I may play at off road.! Can you tell meif they allow generators at Kidderminster ...
