Re: mad rat setup
Hi Ian, if you want a cost effective way of changing to brushless (approx £100), I can recommend the following. I'd go for either a 60A or 120A Xerun Hobbywing esc (available from Giantshark here in the UK or on eBay from HK) and a 10.5T Speed Passion Sportmans V2 or V3 motor (you get these on eBay ...

Nice one Keith - I'll be down to help in about an hour. Save some of the mowing for me

Re: Saturday 19th May - Is there Racing?
Hi Jez, I'm a few miles down the road in Coventry - weather is overcast, I suspect it is similar in Hinckley. This week has been pretty dry so the ground should be ok, albeit some dew on the grass. In my opinion the conditions are raceable, but I've not visited the track. As you'll see from my profi...

Re: Saturday 19th May - Is there Racing?
The forecast I've seen suggests it will brighten up this afternoon. We may have a damp first round.

Hi Ben, hope you're well. It was a great meeting - finals were packed so made for close racing. Mark Stevens has the laptop.

Re: HINCKLEY CLUBS BUGGY MEETING THIS SATURDAY - 28TH APRIL
As much as I'd love to race tomorrow, if the surface is too boggy then I'll be giving it a miss. Thanks Keith and Mark for assessing the track and (Ben included) for communicating this on the forum. I'm sure others will also be thankful for the timely communication.
Better luck next week...

Re: HINCKLEY CLUBS BUGGY MEETING THIS SATURDAY - 28TH APRIL
Hi chaps,
If the forecast for Saturday is dry, could someone, who lives close to the track, pop down tomorrow night and make an assessment then feed back on the forum? That would give us the opportunity to decide if the racing should go ahead.
Cheers

Re: BUGGY RACING TODAY - 21ST APRIL
Well said Ben - we've had some rotten weather this week. The decision was made on the best information available at the time and, importantly, communicated effectively via the forum. Responsibility for running a meeting goes beyond personal interests as Ben expressed. Its always disappointing when a...

Re: my mardave v12 keeps slightly turning to the right?????
Hello Kaylie, Does the steering move at all when you move the stick left and right on the radio set? If not, you have a problem with either the steering servo or the servo horn/linkage. If the steering is working ok and the car is just pulling to the right a bit when you go forwards, then you need t...

Re: my mardave v12 keeps slightly turning to the right?????
Hello Kaylie, Welcome to HRCCC and the forum... Have you checked the steering trim on the radio set? - it could be slightly off. Another reason could be a tight front right wheel, especially if its been standing for a while - it may need a little oil and the nut backing off slightly so that it spins...

Hi Ryan,
Front wishbones and ball ends are common casualty. The transmission can also be an area that lets you down.

Raising the Pace
I've really noticed how everyone seems to going quicker in Quick Silver this season. The overall standard of racing is very good - I think helped by the popularity of the class, which has enabled us to run heats of matched drivers. Let's have more please
