Re: help ,please with identifying buugy
Try asking on the thread linked to below. There's a poster called "Mr Lexan" on there who makes a comment about having shells. The posters on the thread are predominantly australian so expect postage to be high, but it's a very old car so options for spares are limited. You could also try ...

Re: help ,please with identifying buugy
Looks like a Pb maxima. I think the front suspension may have been an upgrade option as the standard car had a arms top and bottom at the front instead of the c hub arrangement fitted to yours The car dates back to the mid 80's and the manufacturer PB racing have closed down. There's a thread on rc1...

Re: Track Condition
Can't race myself as am dosed up on eye drops and only 1 good eye, at the moment but 2 observations. 1) If you go to any decent size meeting on grass in warm weather. the track will turn to a dust bowl so it's good practice. 2) Change tyres. - Minispikes are rubbish once the grass is gone. - In the ...

Re: Balancing My Touring Car Help
If you want to get the corner weights perfect then normally this is achieved by adjusting the spring preload on individual corners. Unless the car is massively out of balance and /or underweight. In your case you'd increase preload on right front and rear left springs and and decrease preload on the...

Re: Off Road Work Party
Bearing in mind we have to put the astroturf back in the container at the end of the meeting I don't think we'd want a full roll. The ones we had at the boys club took about 10 people to lift. Are there any plans for the rostrum? A bit more height would make a big difference. Even if it's only somet...

answer to 7.4 lipo in mardave/brushed 1 it hangs over the chassis to far and could become a problem in a big side impact 2 we have done it at leicester club its to fast for the chassis and unbalanced 3 how do you make sure everyone is running the same motor dogpinkscot in answer to the above 1) The...

Re: 2010 MARDAVE RULES AT HRCCC
Any particular reason why people want to go 3.7V lipo? To me it would make more sense to go for a 7.4v setup and then look for a slower brushed motor to try and make things equivalent. This has several advantages: 1) A slower motor running at a higher voltage will be drawing less current so should e...

Re: Buggy Racing for Next Year 2010
What are peoples thoughts on running modern cars in with the retro racers if they have a silver can motor? With the current setup there isn't a real beginners class. It's a choice between either running full blown modified or an using a retro car which will be more fragile than the modern equivalent...

http://www.mabuchi-motor.co.jp/cgi-bin/catalog/e_catalog.cgi?CAT_ID=rs_540rhsh There are two versions of the Mabuchi RS540SH (6527 and 7520). Re: Retro Buggy Racing - Summer 09
b3 was released for the 99 worlds so isn't old enough to be vintage yet. However, if you put slow enough motor in it I don't think anybody would object to you running in the vintage heat as there aren't many cars. There's already somebody running a traxxas bandit which was released in 96. - Not pre ...

Re: ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL BUGGY MEETING AT HINCKLEY
Richard Ribs are pretty poor in the dry on grass and useless in the wet. You need spikes! If memory serves the traxxas bandit was released late 90's so should have 2.2" wheels so any of the modern buggy tyres should fit. You want Schumacher minispikes all round in the dry and a more aggressive ...
Re: springs??
90% of the time I used to run red rear springs with green fronts. Occasionally change to pinks on the rear. For the front occasionally changed 1 harder (blue) or on even rarer occasions 1 softer (silver). Depending on steering requirements. Main thing to watch out for with the BK2 is that it has mor...
