Re: Quick Silver - Tamiya & RTR Touring Car Thread
Richard, i was in the 'A' final with a slightly modified TT01E so there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the chassis and it fits in with the ethos of the class (in my opinion   ) and has nothing to do with been beaten at all !!!!! (having said all that, i have an old T...

Re: Quick Silver - Tamiya & RTR Touring Car Thread
Hello All,
I am thinking of making a comeback to racing having had a break of 15 months or so.
I've dug out my old Tamiya TT01E and plan to start again in the quick silver class
Please can anyone advise on suitable gear ratios for the HPI Saturn 27t motor ?
Thanks,
Nick Hudson

Re: Clarification of the Quick Silver Series Rules
as an (as yet) non-racer in this class the last thing i want to do is cause any upset as i think the principle of the class is sound. the one thing i will add is that it does feel good beating more expensive, perhaps 'capable' cars with a £30 TT01E made up from odd bits and pieces i had lying around...

Re: Clarification of the Quick Silver Series Rules
following a rather large break from racing after the summer buggy season (but having raced TT01E's before) i was considering having a go in this class. having read the rules they all look good except for rule 6 allowing any 1/10th TC chassis into the class. i know from experience that even my well s...

Re: 4WD running with 2WD
Hi Nick, Fancy offering me something soooooo tempting!!! I used to run Cats for years in my youth............ i'll bring it along on saturday if you like - it's a bit different to the original CAT short wheelbase :D :D (i used to have one of them back in 1983/4 ish !) - i sound like a right old git...

Re: who is doing the regionals this year?
i have no idea how you got so many races out of the yellow mini-pins - i did one round of the west bridgford indoor off-road series and used one set of rears up in 5 races (4 round and 1 final) - they are bald in the middle - the fronts did a little better but wouldn't do more than another 2-3 races...

Re: who is doing the regionals this year?
i'll hopefully have a bit more time this year to do a few regionals (2WD & 4WD) especially now as lipos are legal :D i have never been a fan of foam tyres on buggys - it just doesn't seem right somehow. get a set of blue mini-pins (the yellows, as dean says, wear out pretty quick) and they'll la...

4WD buggies
Hello All,
Having run 2WD last summer at Hinckley, I am thinking of trying 4WD this year - do you reckon there will be enough 4WD's to make a decent heat ?
