Hinckley Radio Control Car Club once again proudly presents the Mardave GP.

We will be holding the fourth annual Mardave GP in October 2010 at our excellent indoor venue at John Cleveland College in Hinckley.

Hinckley RCCC has long been a club that has supported the Mardave as a superb car to introduce new people to circuit racing. The Mardave is simple to get the hang of and is a reasonably cheap way to get into the sport. The car is easy to build and yet is robust and simple to maintain.

To support Mardave we have always held the Mardave GP and want to ensure future meetings are run in the way in which they have been since we started this in 2006. Our then Chairman David Tithecott had a vision for these cars and Hinckley have stuck to his traditions ever since. We are of course well aware that different clubs run different rules for these cars so it would be wise to review the Hinckley GP rules for each class being run in plenty of time before the event. These can be found on our website, however, if you have any concerns or require any points clarifying, please do not hesitate to contact the club. We race every Saturday including the day before the GP and you are of course always made to feel extremely welcome at Hinckley and are more than welcome to attend our club meetings.

The cost is £15 (£10 for brushless) per car and will include a handout G2 motor for brushed classes (normally costing £8.95). We feel the hand out motor ensures a level playing field for all and we would ask you to view the Mardave website for suggestions on how to run these in. We will be reviewing the stance on whether or not to allow comm. Drops on these motors before the event, but we would always say that whilst this gives more initial performance it can also lead to motor damage and ultimate lack of performance on the day – so you have been warned!

This event is one in which we are very proud to host and as always we will have Roger Cosgrove (BRCA National race controller) ensuring the event is run to the highest standards as always. We are aware that each year we have more and more entrants so please ensure you book in early for this years event to avoid any disappointment. We will have a Mardave shop at the event carrying all appropriate spares etc.
I look forward to seeing you on the day.

Kind Regards – Dale Knight Chairman of HRCCC.

We will be providing trophies as usual for this event, which will be presented at the end.
