12 Hour Charity Race

No Date, Yet

Please find enclosed details of the charity event being held at Hinckley:

We are looking for 10-12 teams to compete in the Charity Event to be held over Saturday 12th April 8pm to 13th April 8am. All teams will have four/five drivers (their choice) with the fee for entry being £79.99 (including the full price of the kit and electronics RTR!).

The vehicles being used are the Maverick 1/10th budget touring car and these will need to be run as kit standard throughout the meeting. Teams own choice on tires and batteries is permitted, however, no Lipo cells are allowed at this event. (5 or 6 cell are both acceptable). This particular kit comes with radio gear etc and this is to be used without change. The excitement of the meeting is that these cars will be used for the first time as standard by all participants and as "kit standard." The challenge will be one of balancing driving ability with protecting the cars to ensure they last the event (as with all endurance races).

The aim of the meeting is to raise money for charity and we will be looking for each participant to commit to raising £10 as a minimum each for the event. Each person who sponsors a driver taking part in the event (minimum £1) will receive an entry into the raffle for x10 of the kits being used during the event. So those who support you may get a RTR car from it!!!

I think this event will capture the imagination of many drivers as it will give us the opportunity of racing throughout the night in challenging conditions and with cars and electronics that are alien to us.

We are looking to provide a platform for a high standard of driver and we seek support from various teams to take part in this charitable event.

Hinckley Model Car Club and John Cleveland College have agreed to help support this event; therefore we are promised an excellent indoor venue which will offer the highest standard of track and facilities.

Hot and cold food and drink will be available during the event and we suggest teams organize a tent or similar that can be erected indoors and used for some broken sleep during the night!

Teams can register their interest for a deposit of £20 with spaces being booked on a first come first served basis.

I look forward to welcoming you to the venue and I am sure you will enjoy an excellent meeting
